Okay, well, I haven't heard back from Ellimist, and I don't want to bug him again. I've also posted on Civfanatics and here for a replacement, no replies.

So are we going to bother carrying on without Bob, or just call the game and move to the next one? Since you guys are probably in a better position to take advantage of AIBob ![smoke smoke](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/smoke.gif) , then I'm probably on the "call it" side - but only marginally.

I won't be able to play from now until my Sunday night (US Monday).
I don't mind what we do. I enjoy the turns, but AIBob will distort the game substantively. OTOH, AI Bob leave the game in an interesting and decidedly undecided position. So, I suppose put me mildly down for continuing.

This game is not worth much with AI-Bob. I could see me fast playing turns until something forces the game to concession. We would then need some ground rules concerning AI-interaction.

Might as well end it with a draw then. I don't think anyone is ahead sufficiently to deserve a win, and this stasis aids no one.

Sure.
What was up with the Order pick, Dreylin? A crusader bum-rush? ToD to Theocracy? Without ToD to Theo, how were you planning on fielding collateral?
Also. I'd like to play some SP turns, if everyone could share their passwords.

Well, to answer those in order ... <Ahem> ... the Map was built so rushing was out; I only ever found 1 raw node so ToD was going to be a stretch; and last I checked, Cats & Fireballs still work for collateral.
Mostly at the time though I didn't really fancy any of the other options; but other than that Order saves quite a lot of hammers on units early, spreading is easy so the Shrine is useful, and the units have Demon Slaying which helps a lot against Evil civs. Plus, I really wanted to highlight (in game, since I already tried to during setup), that Overcouncil is inferior to Undercouncil and that both are significantly worse in a low playercount game if only one player is adopting them.
I was actually gearing up to researching Theocracy the old fashioned way (hence the Crown build), whih might have involved my first SPI revolt...
BTW, what are your thoughts on obsoleting some or all of the Wonders for the later era starts?

OK, so I've finally read through the other threads and there were really 2 games going on here, weren't there!?
In addition to considering obsoleting some Wonders, what about cities starting with some buildings? Playing later-era PB33 in base BTS and cities are starting at size3 with a set of free buildings (and some cost tweaks) that speed the game up and equalise it a bit.
Also, any non-military victory condition will require building some sort of economy for research; as things are currently set up that is fairly impractical given the extreme cost of the techs. I think some adjustment needs to be made to accommodate this, though I'd not sure what it is.

Yeah, there were. I think if not for Bob's extra node, I had a decent chance of winning (via concession). But that was wholly to do with the time differential Bob and I were spending on our turns. I'm not quite sure why I was able to expand so much quicker than you and plako, especially early on.
I want to make it possible to build either hamlets or villages in the late era.
I am not a fan of the free building mechanic. I think it removes choices from the player and it especially doesn't work with most of the unit-based FFH buildings.
What wonders did you have in mind?
