AW 4 Player PBEM/PB?

I'm really tempted to play, but I want to keep to one game at a time. If EitB46 finishes before this fills up, count me in.

Should I be worried that you think EitB46 might finish in the next couple of weeks...

Yeah, I've played one like this. I mostly don't want to commit to playing when I might not have time to properly think things through like leader selection and early micro. Believe me, I am sorely tempted.

I've finally got a bit of an itch to play a game of Civ again, but I want something lightweight since I don't quite have the time that I used to. Any interest in a revival of the 4 player AW small map game style? Something akin to PBEM34, which was a really fun setup.

Basic Pitch:
*PBEM (or sequential Pitboss)
*Quick speed
*4 players
*Always War
*Map: 4 fully mirrored plots of land. Room for roughly 4-5 cities per player max - very tight. Reasonably lush so the game doesn't take forever. All strategic resources available in each mirrored plot.
*Snake pick (any sort of random rolling could very possibly decide the game on T0)

Other stuff like vanilla vs mod or ban lists I could go either way about.

Anyone have interest in playing (or map-making) this game?

I would say picking type depends on mod used. I am sure I read a game here where each player had a set amount of 'points' to purchase civs/traits on BtS. That would interest me. Would need to be tweaked for small size and always war but doable.

Yeah, I really liked that setup (not surprising seeing as I signed up for both of them), although it would need some heavy customization for this type of game.

That said, there seems to be a general lack of interest in this right now. I think I may have erred in advertising for this right on the heels of a pitboss and a pair of PBEMs kicking off. Unless a couple more signups happen in the next 24 hours or so, I may put this on hold and revisit in a couple months.

I would love to play, and currently I feel I've got time for it in the evenings as well, but I can't guarantee it stays that way, so I'd definitely need a teammate who would be willing to play a significant share of the turns.
Also, I'm probably a lot worse than REM and scooter, which in this setup might run the game. A teammate might help here as well?

Yeah, I'm out on this one too due to the Industrial game. Maybe I'll revisit this again in the future. That said, if Miguelito is still in, you still just need 2 more signups, and you do have a willing mapmaker already.
