Demos are still pretty good

This creeps me out a bit.

Where are his two bowmen ? This is a no barb game so I guess they're not really needed but I see only two options.

Either GE is trying to rush me somehow, in which case he chose the wrong guy (skirmishers eat bowmen for breakfast) or he knows his pink dot is ballsy so he's positioning them to watch my potential army coming. Except I don't intend to attack him when I'm on 2 cities, that would make no sense. If I attack it will be with an army that won't care about 2 or 3 extra whipped defenders.

He can't put his whole army in that city so I'll just have to attack when he's struggling to even pay his maintenance bills and can't afford more units. I'm already paying 1 unit maintenance, I'm sure he'll soon be facing the same problems, except he'll have more costs due to having a city so far away, and I'll have more revenue from being fin. Overall I think I'll be able to afford a large army but he won't.

Also, considering the similarity between the area north of Djenne that has 2 sheep a horse and 2 gems, and the one GE settled I suppose that this is a quasi-mirrored map. It also means that his cap is 8 to 10 tiles away from his second city which makes him very vulnerable. I think he wants to use the no-barb setup to pink dot and hope his opponents don't attack him, but there's no way it'll work.

Huh, it's a rush then. Does GE know that 3+50% is 4.5 while axemen have 5 strength ? And that my skirmishers will destroy him ?

Demos are goooood

Being the only fin in this game is definitely going to help

That's more annoying than worrying. What would you be teching otherwise?

Mysticism. But I was considering archery anyway to choke his city.

Still doing well

The second bowman must be somewhere near.

I'm going to use fin as an expansion trait in this game. Because unlike the other players I can afford expanding more. I'll be hitting 5 cities in about 7 turns and I think my economy will still be good enough to allow for more cities.

What are your current costs? Like total city dist/number and civics? That was one thing I was unsure of whether immortal was a bit over the top. Commodore thought it was definitely needed, and being flat it probably isn't too bad.

I'm at -10 with 3 cities. I think it's fine but it helps fin.

I decided to use a 2/0/3 instead of a 2/1/0 in the capital so I could get buddhism this turn, and luckily it went to Kumbi Saleh !

I have 2 new cities coming soon and then Stonehenge (I'm chopping 2 forests in the cap) followed probably by the Oracle. But I'm going to be understaffed for the number of tiles I'm using very soon, so after that I'll be focusing on workers.
