Oh one more thing - make sure messages from the tracker aren't going into your spam. They did for me at first. Otherwise you'll never know when it's your turn.

I'm able to blitz as well in the next few hours.

Agree, no diplo this game. If people want to have that be a thing, talk about it in setup for a future game. That'd probably work best in a formal team game anyways.

Free now for blitzing.

The matchup was Sami (orange) vs Max (blue). My plan was to use Sami's SCOP to gain a income advantage and it worked, with my income more than double of Brick's at the end.

Replay is here.

Should be free for blitzing for the next couple of hours.

I think Hawke might be better still--the Defense is obviously good, but AW2 has the default Power active=+10% defense, right?

Yeah, I understand Von Bolt is awful in AWDS because of his overpriced SCOP, but AWBW uses AW2's mechanics, meaning the CO meter charges much more slowly. That places more emphasis on a CO's day-to-day abilities, which benefits Von Bolt, Sturm, Grit etc. Hawke is probably pretty good too, he trades 10% defense day-to-day for a much better SCOP.

While the FFA game is going along, anybody care for a 1v1? Password is 'realms'.

Ah, I remember this site. It's been around like forever I think.

It's unfortunate that the site did not manage to create separate section for Days of Ruin system. Despite being widely panned, I found it to be most superior game-play wise.

Do you know of a write-up anywhere with a specific comparison of the changes they made?

Can't recall any list on top of my head.

I can remember some cost changes (increased cost for infantry being the most important), unit roster changes, reduced city defenses, experience system, and buff to naval units - which still is useless regardless. Pretty sure there's more worth mentioning but cannot remember.

And although this is matter of preference, I like how CO system works in DoR better.

Here's a damage chart for DoR:

First thing that jumps to mind is that terrain defence, and defence in general, has a smaller impact. A total defence of 150% reduces incoming damage by 33.33...% in Days of Ruin; in AW2 it would reduce incoming damage by 50%. A total defence of 200% makes you invulnerable in AW2, but only halves damage in DoR, which I think makes for a better system.
