[Spoilers] Dreylin's short visit to a late Era

For pindicator's we make settler in GP as the first whip when we adopt slavery, I didnt count it. About northern cities I agree that we need to plant front asap. Though there are options where exactly.

OK good, I think we're on the same page. I'll try to remember to grab a shot of the Scooter border for planning discussions.

Ah, looks like pindicator has planted his city, so it must have been on the REM border.

I got some from the previous turn:

I think that we dont need to go for Orange spot. We wont have deers but they are nearly worthless when we are getting closer to Biology.

BTW, I changed my mind about drafting core, at least not Lhamas. Lhamas get same number of hammers from slavery but less unhappiness.

I think that I prefer Yellow to Orange as well; although what would you say to the spot between Yellow & Pink? Flatland wouldn't be ideal defensively, of course, but it would save us from having to waste a tile to Fort through the isthmus.

Yellow (Orange) is on hill and it saves 1 tile for watermill, but I guess any tile there can be considered as valid option.

Opened to this:

I rejected because they get more out of it than we do. I fully intended to counter-offer with Spices (since we have a second which can come online quickly), but then promptly forgot. duh I will try to remember next turn.

REM's Galleon is still a-wandering:

I really hope he doesn't do anything foolish! shades He also has a Cav set up 6 from Nixon to watch the goings-on next turn.

I went around and reviewed the cities and decided that we could afford to lose the Nat Happiness for a few turns. So I Drafted Geese & Cats, and then somehow got my analysis mixed up and Drafted Rabbits into Anger instead of Chameleons. So we're running a touch of Culture to fix that. And then I revolted and whip a few things:

Gaspar produced a 9th Rifle over the turn roll in Nixon, but Bush still has just the one:

And as I moved our full fleet into place, I realised that the Frigate could Bombard also. Unfortunately I didn't realise until after it had finished moving this turn, but at least it will free up an additional Cat or two from Bombard duty.

EDIT: and Bush just popped 40%

I did a few simulations. The best result I have got was when I attacked with Grenadier first before 2 catapults. He has something about 88%. Then Rifles get 50% on the most fortified defenders, but cavs have 71% against the. So it depends on what he has in Bush and how much units will it take to raze it.

Then you get ~67% with our rifles.

Good point about frigate, and do all cata have 0-1 promotions? 3 cata will surely work better and bring us better odds.

Also, here's the buildings list prior to whips:

Stable is into Chickens, Forge into Cats, and Granary into Dogs IIRC; Chameleons can add its own Forge next turn.

3-4 of the Cats have a single promotion available; nothing with 2promos IIRC. They go on CR like last time, right?

There's just 1 Rifle in Bush. I put 2 of our Rifles next to it so that we should only need to use a single Cav.

Off to bed; stayed up too late as it is. nono

REM can try to take Bush from galleon. So for us the best thing is to try to play before REM and raze Bush. If he dares to capture it for himself before us then I guess we declare him war and he probably loses his front city garnisson.

Dogs is a plain city with no buildings so I do not really worry about it.

Pindicator was building settler in the city of Musorgsky and I guess it went in BGN's direction.

I pushed the GSpy deeper into REM's territory last night and there's no force behind the front city, so I really doubt that he'd be likely to try to take and keep. If he does anything (which I think unlikely) I'd think he'd capture to raze, but he'd have to do that amphibiously and I still think that he had a Settling party in that ship that will found on the island this turn.

I don't think we should rush into anything; let him play his cards and we'll react.
