[Spoilers] Mini PBEM tournament, part 1

So apparently Khan isn't too happy that I'm heading for the center of the map. He forces me to wait at least a turn to found the city.

Feeling confident or still feel that El Grillo is running away with it?

Somewhere in between. I think that this is when the game will shape up. Either Khan leaves me alone (and hopefully continues his feud with El Grillo whom he has warred two or three times already) and I can maybe stay on top, or I mess up/get slowed down and El Grillo becomes my instant favorite. GE is doing surprisingly well in demos and score, but I feel like he can't be doing that well with only 5 cities.

Also, the important news of the next turns will be when I get more happiness resource (gold and silver very soon, furs soon). If I can grow my cities into more fin tiles I'll be solidly in first place in GNP. But that means Khan needs to let me found my city by the silver.

I decided to settle this turn.

What could happen if Khan attacks is that next turn when I get the save there are 2 skirmishers in the incense forest. I start chopping the skirm, and move forward (to the horse tile) my extra skirm that's coming north to help. The turn after that (t61) he attacks with the c1 skirm, which has 80 to 90% chances of losing, and the second skirm kills either my skirm or my warrior. The turn after that (t62) I get two more skirms inside the city and I can most likely keep it.

I think a lurker should remind Khan that city trading is banned in this game (or so says the OP of the main tech thread).

So both Khan and GE declared war. This is annoying, because if Khan attacks with his skirmishers GE will get to raze the city.

I'm 1 turn late with my reinforcements... Also last turn instead of finishing maths I should have upgraded the warrior into an axe. That would have made it much more likely that I was going to survive, so big mistake there.

Anyway I sent a peace offer to Khan just in case.

Of course Khan won the 20% fight... Anyway the city is lost now and I made peace with Khan. Also killed GE's chariot and recaptured the two workers he sniped before reoffering peace.

El Grillo's demos have surged. I think this war was pretty lose-lose-lose here. We could have had lots of TRs with each other but not any more. No idea how we can stop him now.

Is that that he has a worker there from your map markings? He isn't updating at all...

Unlucky on the city loss though.

Khan actually has a settler (and a worker of course) in the area where he razed my city.

I guess you don't have anything to see where he plants?

I think I do. I left a skirm behind because I'm still at war with GE (and because I'm planning on resettling the area ASAP)
