While I don't think we should mass claim them they could be a good pressure point if someone acts strangely. An excellent idea. Jabbz will approve, I'm sure. How exactly do we think Commodore has come up with the items in play? I don't see them listed anywhere, do we think he just lifted them from the card game? How does the card game work, anyway? (I need to prepare my fake claim.)

I'll change my signature shortly. I wonder if item assignment is purely random dealing from the standard deck with roles assigned to each. If it is, I'll love Commodore forever, but I doubt it is for game balance purposes.
Quick thought that without a list with what each card does we should avoid indicating knowledge of what, say, a Mancato does lest the Outlaws work it out.

I feel a list coming on... 1) Five years is a long time. 2) I'm much better at expressing myself in a written form than I used to be, meaning I don't take so long over each post. 3) I've played quite a lot of mafia in the meantime, across several different forums, so I guess I'm more confident now. 4) I've been following the mafia championships pretty closely, and something of the insane post rate there has rubbed off on me. 5) I've been jonesing for a game with a decent level of activity for some time now, a sensation which only grew stronger after this one at the org in which the host's wonderful efforts were let down by the weak contributions of most of the players. 6) The missus is watching TV, all of my video game platforms are >10 years old, and I don't have a decent novel on the go right now. 7) Being scum, I'm concerned that I'll get lynched for low posting like I was in two of my previous games here. The most obvious is Bang! which takes a life from a player, and can be blocked with a Mancato (miss) card. It's a lot like mafia in that the role of players I hidden, and a lot of the skill comes in looking at player actions and determining their roles from them (as each faction has certain goals). Great game.

And both items and alignments are randomly assigned. So in terms of balance, that means we probably have 2/1/8?
If you know what I mean.
