2016 EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS PREDICTION COMPETITION

Hi again everybody, it is that time again!

After such a good competition for the world cup two years ago, I knew I wanted to set this up again and hopefully get at least as many entrants this time.

The rules are staying mostly the same as they were for the World Cup except that you can now submit a pre-tournament prediction for the winning country which could net you some major points at the end too.

here they are:

RULES

1. Deadlines for match predictions will be 1 hour before kickoff
   
2. Predictions for Golden Boot Winner, Tournament Winner and Total Goals Scored must be submitted prior to the start of the first match at 21:00 GMT on 12th June 2014
   
3. On days where I am unable to be online at deadlines, the forum clock will be used as the arbiter of whether predictions were submitted in time or not
   
4. If you change a prediction prior to the deadline, make the change clear in a separate post.
   
5. Please do not edit posts that include predictions
   
6. You have one 'Joker' that you can use on one day's fixtures to receive double points. Please make it very clear when you are choosing to do it.
   
7. Your 'Joker' must be played before the first fixture of that day.

• 1 Point for Correct Outcome but Wrong Score

• 5 Points for a Correct Prediction
  
• 2 Point for Correct Outcome but Wrong Score
  
  Golden Boot
  
• 10 Points for Correct Winner of Golden Boot
  
  Tournament Winner
  
• 10 Points for Correct Winner
  
• 5 Points if they are the beaten finalist
  
  Total Goals Prediction
  
• 20 Points for Correct Amount of Goals Scored in Tournament
  
• 10 Points for being within a range of 3 goals of the Total Amount of Goals Scored

Well I just meant it is very time consuming like this for the organiser. Something like Sulla set up for the AI competition might be easier for him?

Good to see a few of you already signing up!

To confirm, all predictions will be posted in this thread which I will add to my tracking sheet. It may not be the most efficient way, but it's the way I like to track it all.

Feel free to submit your early predictions any time now if you wish, and encourage others you know to sign up too so we can have another nailbiter.
