Opened save to see an trade from El G offering 150g fro my map; yeah right, so you can sell it on to Adrien or use it to plan an assault yourself! DENIED! Even though i could use that cash.
OK, Selsey has fallen! Adrien did take some losses, but he's still getting some luck. Just realised chichester could work that Silver, if Adrien hadn't got one of his 13 Knights sitting on it!!
Oh, and 4 Knights are heading to Ramsgate .. he will need more than that.

I think Dreylin summed it up. I haven't heard of anyone calling foul on Adrien before, and from what I read he has just had a spate of poor luck - but remember, 33% is 1/3 win 2/3 lose, so you would expect a few wins at those odds. Don't give in lightly! Make him work for the cities!

Combat report:
Ramsgate has fallen. And there were some strange results. Adrien loses with 28.3% odds (good), then wins with 29.7%, 50% & 76%! Only to then lose with 75.3% odds!!! then comes the mopping up of the winning defenders.
Then Adrien half-heartedly attacks Chichester, where his luck seem,s to run out. Loses 50% odds, 64% odds, 65.5% odds & 65.2% odds!! Wow!!! Maybe this is why he stopped attacking 
Got another great General due to these battles, but so did he. Used it to promote all units in Sandwich by converting Paul Warhurst (Spear) to Nebuchadnezzar II.
Longbows built & fortified in Chatham, Bognor, Dover, Deal & Chichester - I've nearly run out of names, unless I start recycling the dead, but the hero of Chichester gets to be called Keshi Anderson.
Spear built & fortified in Rochester.
Pardew & Pulis: mved & started a Cottage @ Rochester.
Holloway & Freedman: put a turn into a Forested Fort between Bognor & Chichester.

Oh .. nice! NOT!!! El G's come to knock a man who's on his way down! Didn't see any sign of his units last turn, but he popped over the border at rochester and kidnapped Pardew, Pulis, Warnock, Taylor, Dowie, francis, Coppell, Mullery, Venables & Allison! As there's only 5 tiles left to develop at Chichester (not sure why I ignored them) I'll set the remaining 6 Workers as Automated Trade-Routes, hopefully that'll keep them away from any conflict zones. Not sure how long Rochester will stand against his stacks, they look like overkill for Rochester, and maybe Croydon!! 
Adrien, meanwhile, tested Chichester's defence, with mixed results. No promos to give out from my successes though. Not 100% if tested the defences of Chatham or Margate, but he might be heading to the easy target of Broadstairs.
Longbows built in Croydon and Sandwich. Almost every city has one popping up at end of turn!!

Combat this turn:
Adrien's bringing Catapults up @ Chatham. A sole catapult attacked at Chichester & died at the hands of Kaikai (Longbow)- not surprising with odds of 5%, ha! However Sullay was then to fall to a Knight with a 46.8% chance! An unnamed Longbow then fell to a Knight with 50.5% odds and Heidrarsson (Spear) fell to 50% odds. Strangely Adrien stopped attacking here.
Broadstairs has fallen to Adrien with its 2 defenders (both Spears) falling to 64.5% (which is OK) and 35.7% odds (more lucky rolls by Adrien I see).
Meanwhile, El G merely pillaged a Cottage at Rochester! I know you now have an inflated workforce now, but why?
Longbows were built & fortified @ Chatham, Bognor, Sandwich, Margate & Rochester.
I guess my remaining 3 Worker-teams built Roads somewhere.

Shame I can't take advantage of it; if it'll work at all.  
Adrien didn't attack this turn, just surrounding my cities and having a look at Croydon too.
El G however has taken & razed Rochester. His Trebs did some damage with odds of 29.4% & 46.4%. At least his Knights all had decent odds; in excess of 85%, but I had one very, very, lucky, lucky roll of fate:

Gaining access to invalid civics is a sign your game is stuffed up; it's caused by someone doing a ctrl-L load of the save over the top of a more advanced game instead of exiting to the main menu. You should post in the tech thread and the guilty party will have to replay his turn. Otherwise, strange things will keep happening.
