Up the Palace ... again! [SPOILERS]

(June 29th, 2016, 18:00)DaveV Wrote: Gaining access to invalid civics is a sign your game is stuffed up; it's caused by someone doing a ctrl-L load of the save over the top of a more advanced game instead of exiting to the main menu. You should post in the tech thread and the guilty party will have to replay his turn. Otherwise, strange things will keep happening.

Thanks, I've quoted you.

Turn 110 had to be replayed & the civic option glitch has cleared.

I did check the Combat Log & everything seems the same, including my amazing luck for Hennessey, except it did report one of El G's Trebs died instead of withdrawing; don't recall seeing that before. Guess this confirms Adrien's early luck.

Turn 111 - 1020AD

Not much to report; no combat involving my cities this turn. Maybe something to do with Khan declaring war on Adrien and the Knights camping outside Chichester miraculously disappearing! However, Adrien continues to camp out around Chatham & Margate, whilst El G can't decide whether to move on Bognor or Croydon.

Longbows built & fortified in Chatham, Croydon, Bognor, Dover, Sandwich, Margate & Deal, more queued some of those whipped.

At the end of turn, the Eagles are revolting in Canterbury; wonder how this will pan out.

This slow death is very painful. Adrien finally attacked Chatham & I have no idea how a solitary Longbow survived. I've whipped him a partner, but I'm pretty sure the city will fall next turn.

Elsewhere I have no idea what El G's doing; what is he waiting for? Sod it, I'll offer a peace treaty & see if he accepts.

Longbows built & fortified in Margate & Dover. In addition to Chatham, I've whipped Longbows everywhere!!!

Regarding the Euros; wonder if it will be a Wales vs France Final? Wayne Hennessey, Joe Ledley & Jonny Williams facing Yohan Cabaye and new signing Steve Mandanda!

Of course, I'll be Welsh rather than French.

Turn 113 - 1060AD

Chatham has fallen!! But not before a hero Longbow beat one of Adrien's Knights which had 67.4% odds!!!

El G didn't accept the Peace Treaty, so i guess it's game over for me shortly. It certainly doesn't look good for Bognor & I can see Cuirassiers on the horizon yikes

As stated in the previous report, Longbows fortify all remaining cities, but the build times are getting longer.

Starting to consider options for the "losers" game. But maybe here's not the place to discuss them.

Bognor's fallen to El G; heroic Longbows managed to take out 2 of his Knights which had odds of 74.5% & 77.7% .. wow!!! Bet he thought he'd take it unscathed.

Adrien's still stalling. Come on, kill me now!!!

A Longbow was built in Margate. Just to make it harder for Adrien tongue

No combat to report this turn.

Longbows built in Dover & Sandwich; one Bowman upgraded in Croydon.

That is all.

So, there was combat this turn. El G attacked Sandwich but, despite him reducing the defences to 26%, 4 longbows valiantly badly damaged Cuirassiers before they died. Whether his Pike arrived too late to get involved, or he decided not to commit them, who knows. I don't hold out much hope of Sandwich standing within the Eagle Empire next turn, but I could get lucky. He should attack Croydon next turn too.

Adrien still hasn't attacked Margate; maybe he'll try next turn.

Longbows built & fortified in Croydon & Chichester. I whipped one in Sandwich, just to annoy El G.

OK, Croydon & Sandwich fell to El G this turn. Earned a Great General as Longbows killed a Treb @ Croydon & a Cuirassier @ Sandwich. It popped up in Deal, so I've added it to a longbow unit so all the units get a promotion; makes it a tougher nut to crack.

Adrien, on the other hand, just sits outside margate watching yet another defender getting built; yup a Longbow just fortified it.

As it's pointless to improve the tiles around Chichester, I've gifted the 3 2-Worker teams to Khan; saves me gold rolf

Due to a glitch, not sure who was the culprit, I got an extra kill from a replayed turn sent by El G. A hero Spear killed a Cuirassier that had 90%+ odds!! Both cities still fell frown
