[Spoilers] Mini PBEM tournament, part 1

I took another city this turn, but my luck ran out when I lost a series of 65% battles in Chichester (most of the time barely hitting the LB defender).

What's funny is that I have city visibility on Mount Pleasant but Khan probably doesn't know that. He has 4 cats just NW of the city that are supposedly hidden from me, and that worries me a little. I'm not sure what Khan is researching after getting PP last turn, but as long as his best units are maces and pikes supported by cats I'm not too worried.

Ok so a few things I don't understand.

First for some reason I'm not seeing Khan's research, and haven't seen it for a few turns now. It may be that he's 1 turning techs but it's still very frustrating.
Second, this is where I thought I had left my northern stack last turn.

Note that this is not an actual screenshot from last turn, I reloaded last turn and did my movements again.

It's a tile that cannot be accessed in 1 turn from Mount Pleasant. This turn my troops are gone and what I can gather from the combat log was that they were inside the city when Khan attacked.

It would seem possible that I, for some reason, sent my troops back into the city, but that makes little sense as there was at least one skirmisher outside the city (I don't think I'd have put him out there on his own).

Anyway. Khan's attack is also naval, with the 5 galleys that I've been monitoring for a few turns coming towards Niani

Meanwhile things are as usual with my attacks :

Third city where this happens rolleye

After burning two cities, one of them pretty useless, Khan wants peace.

I accepted. I can't counter him yet but now I can resettle the two spots. Now, let's finish off Babylon

This stopped being funny long ago...

About what I said in the tech thread, the game told me in had finished a cavalry (in all 3 cities who needed a build, all which had built a knight)

I'm afraid it's the same problem as before

El Grillo attacked my wounded knight stack from taking Margate (which I did take the second time) with cuirs and cavs. He made short work of them, and now I have pretty much no army and no hope to get back to second place (Khan will obviously attack when our peace ends). For the record I'm willing to concede to El Grillo (winner) and Khan (2nd).
I feel like the game was lost when Khan razed my city by the silver. I didn't anticipate for him to want to settle on the marble, which is something everyone should have wanted to avoid.

I've asked around, I would imagine that this would end the game.

I wonder if Khan used his Open Borders with Ginger to move a worker under your stack while at peace, and then he declared war to teleport all of the units back to their own territory.

The declarers units are deleported, not the declaree. Stops you shifting a stack of a defensible neutral zone

That wouldn't have worked, Khan's units didn't have enough movement for it
