WW #43 - The Asha'man

(July 13th, 2016, 07:14)Rowain Wrote: @Meiz Why did you guard zakalwe on N1 and not Gazglum?

I was pondering between Zak & Gaz. Both were towny on day 1 and both had discards that indicate strong power. I ended on Zak with the hopes that Gazglum had chosen bulletproof town, and was baiting for night kills with showing Doctor discard. I also hoped scum assuming that Gazglum is the more obvious target for protection.

I think scum would fear a watcher watching Gazglum.
I have to run.

But apparently they did not fear the watcher while killing Jkaen. Which was given that Jkaen was a confirmed townie a lot more risky.

DP101, have you played mafia before this game?

Bulletproof first because I didn't want to die, then mafia lover and hider in no particular order. I didn't really like either role, but at the time I disliked them equally so I didn't really care about the order. I now recognise that as a mistake, I should have put hider second.

The possibilities.

a) Gazglum lied and is scum
In this case it is game over. Town will happily do all the dirty work and lynch one towny after the next.

b) Gazglum told the truth but one of novice/fenn is either GF or SK. In that case it is over too as nobody will lynch one of the cleared townies.
In case of SK my bet would be on novice as I would bet zak hid behind him. Sadly zak didn't leave any notes about N2. Anyway Congerats in this case to a very well played game for holding the shots/always targetting the same as scum.
In case of GF I would say Fenn is more likely. (Getting 2 GF cards seems abit unlickely)

c) Gazglum tells the truth and novice/Fenn are what they say they are. That leaves DP101, Lewwyn, Meiz for 2 scum spots. This is also the only situation where we have a chance to win.

From those 3 I find Lewwyns roleclaim the most interesting: Enabler is a rather town-unfriendly role without any benefit for the user at all. But Lewwyn could have claimed any role he wanted as he was the last to claim. He could have chosen Tracker and made up what ever. So that makes enabler looking more real than anything else. OTOH he could be the Godfather which would explain why he claims such a dubious role, why he is playing not in full townLewwyn-mode. He wants to get scanned get his free pass and win. His sparring with Meiz would also give good cover if Meiz is his scumbuddy and happens to be lynched.

DP101 & Meiz: What concerns me with their roles is simple Town would be far too strong that way: Cop + Masons + Hider + PGO are already hard stuff to overcome as scummies. Adding to the mix either a NK-immune townie or a Doc is not balanced at all.
Against Meiz counts his rather poor choice for doc-targets and the fact that he joined Prometheus-waggon very late when there was no chance to save him any longer. With Meiz is scum glassesit is also interesting to see that on Day Meiz voted Adrien at a time when he (meiz) was the one with the second most votes bringing Adrien and himself at par. Something that really got the waggon rolling and in the end made it to a 2 towniesrace.
Pro Meiz count the things I have already spoken off. I'm quite sure he had backup-doc in his 3 cards (the questionming of Fenn was done with that knowledge)

Against Dp101: Foremost his role: A nk-immune role is borderline overpowered in and off itself. Combined with a Cop who can check him out that is practically a guarrantied victory. Add a PGO who would take the scummie who targets him with him and scum can simply resign. Second his vote against me on D2 which was done without any power and his play until his big post listing all players.
For Dp101: His big post were at least a lot of work. That doesn't really prove townability (remember Roland ) but still wa a step n the right direction.

That leaves the question whom to lynch:
Meiz works with both (Lewwyn and DP101) as scum but lynching a claimed doctor is hard to justify.

DP101: Seems like a good choice but lynching someone who claims nk-immune seems such a waste (and yes that goes for a Rowain lynch too wink )

Lewwyn: Seems the best choice at first glance. Enabler might lose town a power or but there is a chance that scum get hit. Or in case the enabled player was assigned at game-start he might be even dead already.

The game in general or the role? Regardless, I haven't played the game online like this before. I have played in person with people, and I was mafia a couple of times, but standard mafia has almost nothing to do with forum mafia.
