Gentlemen, my career is over. Yesterday I was looking forward to promotion to Police Commissioner, the adulation of the little people, eventually a gold watch for my retirement. Now, I figure I'll be off homicide by the end of the week, and that's if I'm not taken out myself first.

I know how it will go - I'll be held down, force-fed or injected with some kind of poison that will make my heart beast itself into an explosion. Then when they find me, the little pill box will be by my hand and people will say, "Poor Glum, he just couldn't live with himself."

*Peeks through venetian blinds at the dark car-park. Night-watchman Meiz gives a narrow smile and thumbs-up, showing that he is On Watch*

Well, they haven't got old Glum down yet, see? We still have time. I can crack this case. And gentleman, those lemmings who followed me off the cliff? At least one of those lemmings is a Mole.

Who is bad?

I can't believe it is Novice or Fenn. Novice discarded godfather, and I'm not sure if the setup allowed for doubles on the random number generator. If it did, there is about a 2% chance of second godfather, but if that is so i just don't think we can win. You can't gamble on those odds.

Fenn I am just certain is town, his play makes no sense as scum, and also I scanned him town.

So that leaves 2/3 from Lewwyn, Meiz and DP. At least one of Lewwyn and Meiz would make sense, as it would explain how Zak died.

All three have been a bit scummy, though Lewwyn's main flaw is that he has been too busy to play recently. It is hard interrogating the man who isn't there, and it would be a bit cheap if he was heading to a scum victory that way.

DP101:
Day 1: Votes town Adrien and town Psilly
Day 2: He voted town Novice, then town Rowain, and he gave a town-lean to scum Prometheus.
Day 3: He didn't want to commit, then he voted lewwyn, then Town Rowain.

DP almost has to be scum. Novice and Zak were right, I was wrong. His posts are scummy. Day 3 he put in a huge chunk of effort, which dissuaded me, but he didn't end up coming down with a strong call on anybody.

SO if DP is scum, why is he so happy to be shot by Fenn? Is it a bluff?

Here are the ways I can imagine DP surviving a shot:

1. Second scum role-blocker blocks Fenn.
This seems impossible to me, because if they have 2 roleblockers, surely I wouldn't have got 2 scans off.

2. DP is a bulletproof serial killer
If true, DP is playing super well. Holding back his kills, waiting for the last day to win. This is actually perfectly possible.

3. There is a mafia doctor or reflexive doctor
I didn't realise that there were TWO possible mafia doctor roles, so this is perfectly possible too. If his partner is a doctor, he can doctor DP while DP kills. If a reflexive doctor, then the partner can kill while DP visits him.

Been there, done that.

Fenn, as you said, the mafia could win tomorrow with either a governor or a day vigilante. I think we have to assume that is likely.

I think now it is probably Meiz and DP101. They both joined me on Rowain, while Lewwyn was on Meiz. WIthout both their votes, Meiz would have hung, and he seemed pretty philosophical and resigned about that outcome.

But I no longer am sure of my judgement.

Anyway, the point is this: we miight need you to shoot a scum tonight.

If DP is town and you confirm it, we might still lose to a mafia power role.
If DP is scum, and your kill is blocked, we might still lose.

Or DP could be calling our bluff, and he is scum, and you could shoot him dead tonight. But he is being very cool about it. He was the one who claimed Bulletproof, and he could have planned the bullet-catch test. He could be goddamn Keyser Soze.

I am happy to discuss today, but I don't have much more help to give. I have failed in my task, and I think victory is up to you, Fenn, and who you shoot tonight. But definitely shoot somebody.

Gazglum, you can also scan me for almost confirmed doctor. Having said that, I can already sense scum godfather theories incoming

I will have more time on Saturday (2nd half of tomorrow's day phase). Trying to turn in my grades tomorrow. Trying.

But really for me it comes down to A) Gaz is telling the turth = Meiz and DP are scum, B) Gaz is lying = he is scum + anyone else.

A Gaz+novice scum pair is a scary thought, but I don't think it's likely to exist. Why would Gazglum give me a town lean and an Innocent scan if he was Mafia? Same question if his partner isn't novice.

Novice would be the clearest choice when thinking Zak's death. I still wonder why he had visited me or Lewwyn over novice, who he seemed to have strongest town read. But I also find it very hard to go down that route

But really for me it comes down to A) Gaz is telling the turth = Meiz and DP are scum, B) Gaz is lying = he is scum + anyone else.

If Gaz isn't lying why does his theory regarding me have to be right? Just because someone is town it doesn't mean that they know exactly who scum are.

From Lewwyn's POV we two would be the only possibilities left, barring that either Fenn or novice would be godfathers that scanned as innocent.
