I watched your expansion, I think you had 10 cities while others were crawling behind with 4-5. It cant be explained with just a settler discount. I believe Spi is many times better than Imp, yes you have like 8 cities against 10 but you still gain the most advantages of all civics: UniSuff, Serfdorm and OrgRel.

Your neighbors left you alone thinking they can develop better. For me it is in explain able. If you were put near us your cheap settlers would not bring you any good.

Yeah I kept a reasonable presence in the border cities leaving the core empty, deterring some of the possible aggression - also remember I was near the slow starting fin/org and the non slavery DZ with the early academy play. But also quick graphs meant I saw I could get away with it! If I had suffered the early Gaspar invasion from yourselves without warning I feel I would have fared about the same.

I invested too much in rushing to Communism and trying for The Kremlin. Winning this would have positioned me better to harass REM. As it turned out, you guys beat me there and I was playing catch up from the bad investment. I sacrificed a lot to make the attempt. It would have been fun to combine with SA whips but it didn't pan out. Once I was behind I decided I had to focus on developing myself and let others worry about slowing down a runaway.

Ironically, you and Dreylin are probably the biggest factor in me not attempting at least something against REM as he was spamming out cities. Anything I threw in his direction would have been an invitation for you and your massive army to come for me. So attacking REM was a non-starter, really.
