MY assumption is they are trying to show that its running more smoothly than some of the stories coming from other countries are portraying it, and trying to control the bad press (just doing a bad job of it)

Quote:As the police investigation continues into the alleged robbery of U.S. Olympic swimmers in Rio, a Brazilian police source told ABC News that "one of the swimmers was seen on CCTV footage breaking down the door to the bathroom at the gas station and fighting with a security guard" on the night of the incident. Well that changes things pretty dramatically.
Yeah it seems pretty clear the swimmers Acted Badly, and tried to cover up for it by Lying Badly . The Brazilian response seems justified.
My cousin is married to Lochte's best friend and while is definitely a different dude, he didn't struck me as the kind of guy that would try and cover up anything. Darrell
The 'boys being boys' line is pretty lol as these are grown ass men.

I don't really understand why they're being treated like criminals here. Two of the swimmers got yanked off their plane and their passports confiscated on the tarmac last night. What's the motivation for making something like this up? Another report came up this morning that a British Olympian was robbed at gunpoint now in a separate event. Finally watched the pole vault (M) ... talk about a turn around ... the French jumper was looking pretty good and one clearance by the Brazilian changes it all. The Brazilian certainly deserved the victory ... he jumped out of his socks, shows and everything else.
I have finally decided to put down some cash and register a website. It is www.ruffhi.com. Now I remain free to move the hosting options without having to change the name of the site.
