While I feel it it somewhat harsh to be penalized too heavily for a rule that wasn't actually written down, it is just a game at the end of the day, I am happy to go ahead with any penalty others are happy continuing with

Agreed that it's a game meant to promote pleasant competition between forum members. I don't have a lot invested in the game, won't be heartbroken if we lose, and won't go out and buy a bumper sticker if we win.
