GG everybody! That was pretty fun.

I got the grid in the morning on my way to the airport before my flight to China so I was feeling pressure to get my first clue in before I hopped on the plane for 14 hours. Sat on it for an hour and was able to come up with 3 clues to get my board in 3 rounds.
Frozen:4, Sacraficial:2, Complimentary:3. I was just going to brute force my way through even if Queen was blue. I figured I had a pretty high chance of you guys getting the rest. Also I think Blue had a pretty rough board after light. I mean part? Feel for you OH.

I figured you'd probably hit queen and you'd have to guess 1 or two more frozen words on the other rounds. But I wasn't really prepared for Dave's conclusion that I wasn't aware of Frozen. I did figure if you hit Mint I could have reclued spell and Princess as part of Sleeping:4 with Hotel and Wake. But eventually you guys followed me. Sacrificial you guys got really well.

I'm actually really curious whether you guys would have gotten hotel, mint and wake on complimentary:3 if Blue hadn't hit wake. If blue had hit Hotel first, I would have gone toothbrush: 2 for mint and wake.

Godzilla was actually pretty clever, though too many words in the way.

GG and nicely done red team. My thoughts:

Frozen: 4 - Obviously facing Lewwyn is an insta-lose, and him proposing a 4 out of the gate just confirmed that theory, but when T-hawk suggested QUEEN I started to hope.

Light: 3 - this was the only 3 I had that I was sure of – DIAMOND lights is a thing, but thought you'd get RAY/DAY/MICROSCOPE first.

Sacrificial: 2 - gets CALF and CROSS, when someone suggested MERCURY (the assasin!) for Frozen hope took flight, but reds steered clear, took PRINCESS and will get SPELL next turn .

Godzilla: 4 - I was struggling to get two 2s with the remaining blue words (POOL, PART, ROSE and SCALE). With something like Pillow: 3 the reds should get HOTEL, MINT and WAKE so I decided we needed a 4 to have a chance and went for the hail mary... Godzilla ROSE from the deeps (aka a POOL), was covered in SCALEs and had a PART in a film. I thought you might go for WAKE or BOW (Japanese origin) but didn't think of HOTEL or MINT at all. I'm pleased you did mention all the right words, but obviously it was a long shot .

I don't think I would have gotten to Wake next on that clue. Probably would have listened to Azoth saying Bow.

Concierge 3 would have a good shot at Hotel + Mint + Wake (though Lock or Pool are candidates.) Other thoughts: Housekeeping, Turndown, Airbnb.

Mouthwash for Hotel + Mint + Wake? I don't really see the connection between Wake and Complimentary, so I would have been arguing for some other word. Maybe Mercury, since he was god of trickery and thieves, so therefore probably a flatterer .

Well played everyone, very accurate all the way through. Well, except Godzilla, and that was always a punt to get our words quickly. Hilarious that all 3 of red's unclued words were pretty high up our considerations.
