So I have been playing Diablo 2 since I saw the promote for Baal runs celebrating the release on June 29 Y2K. I must say I am hooked again, after a month of constant play, and yes, an empire of mules (somethings never changes)
To be honest, I couldn't find any of my 3 copies, so I ordered one from amazon (D2+LoD for $15CAD, better deal than Bliz). In the attempt to find them again, I dug up a treasure, OMG, a copy of Classic Diablo!!! IIRC, I must have owned 5 copies of those. So I must, naturally.
It's not a video. Sadly with all the websites I own I have to use the quick and dirty YouTube slideshow trick to show a picture when file attachment fails.

What is interesting is that after a gap year of about 7 years, I just so happened to fall back under Diablo's spell, that is, for D2. I actually have not yet to play D3.
Regardless, as I am looking at the date you posted this, August 6th, it happened for me right around the same time, if not the same day. Scary eh or just Diablo's charm? I was diabloing quite heavily in between my sleeping at work routine, but the spell's duration already wore off. I suppose I am more resistent now with all the experience I have. In life I would say I am at least level 3 by now.
What mainly brought me back is that I was actually doing some research for work (well at the least, I was at work) on the first Diablo earlier this year, and I came across the game available in both German and Russian. So I of course had to give it a go. That and I needed some in-game footage for the so-called work.
And that led me to seeing what languages now D2 was available in. The last time I got to try it in French, so I this time I opted for something else.
I cannot remember where I was going with or this or if I had any direction at all.
Oh right, you could not find any of your 3 copies (no, I did not take them), but between the 4 or so collector's editions I bought at some point and how ever many other editions I had, they all well ... went to the east, my friend. And why does someone buy 4 colleetor's edition anyway? I just remembered, I gave one away as a gift to an old Diablo buddy some years ago as a surprise.
But more importantly, how are we going to celebrate Diablo's 20 birthday?

How about them apples? They say they do not fall far from the tree, and that one can spoil the whole bunch. Well I say we may not all be rotten, but we are all spoiled.

Sounds like you have an interesting job there.
Well, that (anniversary thing) got me watching this video.
So New Year's Eve is the official date?
Speaking of New Year's Eve, that's how I celebrated Diablo's 3rd Anniversary. Yikes, 21 life left, that's cutting it close.
Anniversary, maybe we should all load up Diablo Spawn and have tons of party favorites, such as GPow and KSoT littered in the games Oh yeah, Spwan. That's how most of us came to know Diablo, no?
I stopped my D2 romps since Sirian introduced me to Grim Dawn. The thread now moved to the Gaming Table forum. I have also stopped playing Grim Dawn after a week or so because it was getting good and I was getting too involved. I guess that why I went back to D2 instead of playing games that I own and still not played. D1-2 is more or less muscle memory now without having to (re)think.
I think I am going to try and keep my D2 bnet account live, and share the mules. Will get to that later.....

I got my lord of destruction copy for christmas when i was 8.,,
I first started seriously playing on the second of January, 2014, after finishing normal difficulty for d3 on my uncle's already used account. Since then, two assassins, two sorceresses, a paladin, and a necromancer made it to hell difficulty, but none of them have made Pat/mat.
I finally have an idea how to do the paladin (Might or BlAim merc to replace the rogue), and also the necromancer is on it's way: he smoothly cleared halls of the dead, protected by rings of bone, bone armor, and fun curses (I just love confuse). This character treats MSLEB Burning Dead Archers as ... extra dead, :D while wearing mostly blues, a cracked sash, and only having worthwhile resists in a few critical (Fire + Lit) fields. And all that while having base strength (plus whatever +strength I get from charms, not much). Uber weapon is a +3 PnB wand with +2 bone spear, offhand is a +1 curses head. An Io rune would give me more damage, but as it is, I'm pretty powerful already. I'll see how I can handle the claw vipers this time.
I'm 23 now, so it's about time :D

Yea, Necros can be very fun, there are so many ways to play it - like it is the thinking man's class for D2.

The ice broke. I made it pat yesterday. All I needed was the worldstone keep not to spawn me frenzytaurs, as those would kill my bubblemerc and deprive me of the sweet blue mana juice.
Sure, in act V, I took part in an amazon basin uber tristram run, and I had the schizo setup of a paladin hellfire torch coupled with a cracked sash, whose resists did come in handy against the wsk gloams, and the strength I paired with strength rings to wear natalya's boots, so I was prrtty 'tweaked' in a sense, but it was still tough enough to keep me on my toes.
Next time I'll play off-realms, single player, and it will be a firebolt sorceress.
