[SPOILERS] scooter peruses RB's Greatest Hits

OT4E, I have no idea what any of those things are, and I decided not to google it because the mystery of it all amused me. lol

Some random ideas bouncing around in my head.

1) Nerd Culture: Star Wars, Star Trek, DnD, Whatever OT4E Just Suggested, WoW, and of course Civilization. Low-key benefit of this is it's certain to make somebody mad eventually, and that would be great fun. The downside is this is so easy that I'm certain it's been done here at some point.

2) Olympic Sports (present, past, future) - better late than never?

3) Renaissance Artists - obvious.

4) Best MP games at RB.

I kinda like #4, but if you can talk me out of naming a bunch of cities things like "Pitboss 18" and "FFH PBEM 1," please do.

Thinking of a naming theme for IMP/ORG Aztecs I can suggest the following schema:
#1 Hatchery
#2 Spamming pool
#3 Hydralisk den
#4 Hatchery (upgrade #1 into Lare)
#5 Mutalisk spire
#6 Queen's nest
#7 Hatchery (upgrade #1 into Hive, upgrade #4 into Lare)
And so on.

If you want to directly take the names, #2 would be Spawning Pool, #5 would be Spire (could be renamed to Greater Spire after you found a new city named Spire) (also, Lair not Lare). That would leave you with Creep Colony, Sunken Colony (border city), Spore Colony (border city), Evolution Chamber, Ultralisk Cavern and Defiler Mound from the original, and Spine Crawler (border city), Spore Crawler (border city), Baneling Nest, Infestation Pit, and Nydus Network from Starcraft II.

They were referring to a potential build order playing as zerg in starcraft, referring to the rapid rate that you will be spamming out cities, since zerg thematically is all about swarming opponents.
Surprise! Turns out I'm a girl!

Could go with 'skills a Renaissance Man should have'. Or to be more tangible, 'things da Vinci did'.

Actual city names might be considered a bit dull, but how about major centres of the renaissance? Start with Italian cities and move on to others (Dutch, German) when/if you run out. Most of them (Genua, Florence, Sienna, Padua, Venice ...) aren't in standard Civ.

Also, you could start with Rome, which is in default Civ but would be appropriate.

That option would let you keep the other teams in suspense as to whether you were actually going for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. lol

Make that Paralympic sports and it's perfectly timed. Plus then you can call a city Murderball.

Turn 187

Whipped the worker in the capital, otherwise this was just a scouting turn.

Feels like there's a Moai city of some sort over here which I'm very glad is enabled for a Ren start. Or maybe National Park? Jungle everywhere. If SPI ends up out-performing our expectations here, it'll be because of the easy access to Serfdom. I'm also really happy India was banned here. Next turn I'll probably move southeast-ish. We want to get back to that river area.

I may add a turn to the journey and go south next turn. Would be nice to know if there's seafood nearby.

Alternatively, I could go NE-E onto the hill before returning home, letting the Explorer check out the south.

Fresh water nearby, so this corn can be irrigated very easily. That's pretty interesting news. I now think this longbow wants to go N-NW before heading home.

EDIT: forgot demos:
