Eventually I will get in a report while I'm sitting at my desktop with a picture. I know how fun text only reports are.

Not that there is a whole lot to talk about right now. I popped a second ruin for 60 gold and bought the deer and banana tiles. Trying to get that snowball rolling early. Scout finished on this last turn and discovered a barbarian camp to the southwest. Building another scout at the moment.

Turn 5

Next turn, we find out if my supposition about horse being on the grassland tile is correct. In the meantime, I met Kuala Lumpur:



It is extremely close. 6 tiles away from Chardonnay. Maybe an option for militaristic expansion in the future...

I can see the borders of another city-state to the northwest. I imagine these are both halfway between me and my nearest neighbors to the west and southwest. I expect I'll start meeting people soon. I would like to meet someone next turn when I start researching pottery, as I imagine that's what everyone else started with and I would like the discount.

Seems like it's all coast to my northeast, I'll have my second scout go and confirm that soon. If so, it seems like I'm in the northeast corner of the continent/pangaea. Loving the map so far Chumchu

Currently still leaning tradition. My biggest question at the moment is whether I should go with a momument or something else after the second scout. I would love to find culture ruins, but that is seeming increasingly unlikely

Turn 6



Guessing on the location of horses paid off. Started on pottery



Well, you can't win them all I suppose. Of all the neighbors I could have had, Ichabod was at the bottom of my preference list. Given our history in PBEM38, I expect to see Immortals coming my way. We'll just have to have Chariot Archers waiting for him

I'm presuming Wellington is halfway between capitals or so (idk where he moved his, but demogs indicate coast as I don't know how he could have so much production without settling on a hill).

I'm probably going to swing the warrior south to scout, since from the direction his warrior is heading it looks like Ichabod has already explored the area northwest of Wellington. My scout in the south is going to head straight towards my presumed southern neighbor and then double back north to pick up as many ruins as possible. My third scout will be exploring the area northwest of my capital, east of Kuala Lumpur, and will eventually be worker stealing from the CS.

Can anyone tell me the average date for a CS to build a worker on King?

Depending on when that is, I may have to build a worker (wines will need to be improved before I can get a second city out). Build path is: Monument -> Shrine -> Worker? -> Settler?

Growing soon, and monument will complete the turn pottery comes in. As I said before, I would rather get a free monument with Legalism, but with no culture ruins, it would delay me too much getting started on tradition to not build a monument at this point.

As a final note, no discount on pottery, so Ichabod hasn't finished it yet. However, there is no way he doesn't finish it in the next couple of turns, so I should still save the beaker.

Of note in this shot: ruins to the southwest. Hopefully my neighbor down there doesn't have their own scout about to get them.

Ichabod moved his warrior towards me. He might be able to nab ruins directly southeast of the capital before I can It depend where he moves next turn. If he moves east to the hill, I'll just go southwest and take a ruin or two of his down there.
