What about Nail, found in horse shoes?

But between Swing and Ground in prefer Swing. Unless Ground is black or blue it would have worked with Observatory 4.

IMO NAIL is too much of a stretch for Cavalry, I would not support it.

I'll point to SWING in ~6h to keep things moving unless someone objects or beats me to it.

I was happy with those 3 we chose anyway, sorry for not being around to confirm.

I prefer ground as the 4th, can somebody explainswing to me please?

The main reason is SWING is a difficult word to clue with the board we have, while GROUND could be hit if we were given Observatory 4. I do think Cavalry leans to GROUND more then SWING, but I don't know how else we would be given a clue directed to BUGLE/LEAD/SWING.

El Grillo, what do you think? Since you brought the words up originally do you want to break the tie?

edit: Actually, you could probably clue BUGLE/LEAD/SWING with something like Trumpet/Trombone 3 (or any instrument that leans to SWING and not ROCK). Because of that I am now leaning GROUND.

What about mounted troops is needed for Bugle, Lead, and Ground though? To me Cavalry associated with not-ground, as in not-infantry, the standard ground troops.

Is it just Bugle? Vanguard should clue it, but I guess that might bring in Swing too. If it's Ground I wish we were clued Custer smile

Custer to me is defensive not offensive though.

The only way I can think of swing working is that when cavalry wheels round in formation it could be considered swinging round, still like ground better though

Point to GROUND

This is partially a gut feeling, but I'm not sure how we improve our odds any further. Fingers crossed!

Ground is GRAY

Blue is up.
