A tool created by Klaas van Aarsen, aka I Like Serena, which does a lot of stuff
This link is still broken, but I'm not sure where it's supposed to go.

Hmm.. that it an interesting and ambitious idea. I haven't any experience editing MoM (or any kind of) saved game files and wouldn't know where to start. In the foreseeable future I'll be modifying the program to generate settings for other similar kinds of games, but perhaps after that I could have a look at editing MoM saved game files.

Well, my program might be able to serve as a useful base for it if you know C or have any interest in learning it. Then you could generate games with reduced # of picks, etc. The main thing that would be really difficult is authentically adding/removing the Myrran retort (I doubt player cities are treated quite the same as AI/neutral) - other than that, a lot of things are easy to tweak in a turn-1 savegame. Books/spells would be slightly complex but not very. And "MoM is too easy with a default wizard" seems to be a common complaint, heh. While I'm not on that level myself, something to give the old pros a challenge might help keep the community active.

Yes I know C. Where is your program and what does it do?

Extensive info about MoM hacking provided by eljay

My email information in SaveGam2.html is out of date, since I no longer have MCHSI (MediaCom High Speed Internet) as my internet service provider. Have not had them for quite some time.

I can now be reached at:

I'm happy that ILSe has been carrying the ball! :-)

Thanks,

My wish these days: hoping for a MoM clone on the iPad. That'd be swell. I'm learning Swift right now... never know. ;-)

Ah, it's a pity. That site was full of good info. Removed from the first post. Did anyone mirror it?
