Post your finish results if you haven't already and I'll add them to this post. Also, discuss your thoughts on the event, what you liked and what you didn't, what would be good to consider in future events moving forward.

Early observations:
Definitely some exploits (selling units, embarked unit move ranges) that we'll need to know about and ban for official events unless/until they're bugfixed.
Culture seems to be a consensus easiest to casually shoot for. Domination can be pretty quick if you focus. Science takes a while and you might hit Culture accidentally first. No one's tried for Religious yet.

Thanks for running the event! I had more of a drive to play when reporting, and I also wrote several thousand more words than I normally would have in the course of a week. I don't think the game will have much longevity until they fix the AI, but afterwards it might become good.
Surprise! Turns out I'm a girl!

Thanks Brick. Culture victory on Turn 278 for me. And yes, the report is in the works for the curious.

Space victory as Japan, T269.
Brick, from my casual glance at the other threads, it seems that almost all of us had the far-eastern isolated start, which seems like it would make going for Religious a huge pain.

I would have strongly considered going for Religious Victory for the novelty factor, but obviously it wasn't really an option given the circumstances
Not complaining though, Kongo was fun for me.

I noticed the start locations too. Only Kongo, England and Egypt have different start locations (the same as the AI had in my game) while the rest have the same location in the East near Kabul. Was there a special reason for this or were you just running into some issues while setting up the starting saves? Would have prefered all different or all same starts.
A huge thanks for setting this up though, I still enjoy my playthrough and look forward to reading tbe other reports in their entirety once I'm finished.

Arabia - Cultural victory 351.
First off - thanks for organising the event! I enjoyed getting to finally try one of these having read various reports over the course of the last few years without having the time or motivation to have a crack myself. In terms of the map and the game that I had - it was actually a rather uneventful cruise towards victory with none of the AIs ever either declaring war or becoming a threat to the victory. As I saw in Sullla's videos of his game, about 100 turns in it was double-triple all AI scores and game over. This was a bit of a surprise for me as I'm not very good at Civ games and have never beaten Civ 5 above Prince. Unfortunately, this seems to confirm the issues that people have with the AI (I have a fresh King game on-going that is looking very similar). The AIs did seem to eat each other up a bit which was a surprise though! Several were eliminated before I met them. The overwhelming feeling that I have taken from this game is that I could have won several hundred turns earlier simply by taking the military option with vastl superior tech. Indeed, it looks like several people took this route and finished significantly earlier. However, it was a great intro to the game and I enjoyed it a lot.
Just a quick aside - what are the time frames for adventures/epics? I assume it is as/when those running them have time to get them going, thought I'd ask just incase I miss anything as I'm looking forward to the next one!

Those 3 Civs have a Starting Bias, so the map generation ensures they start in a specific location. None of the others do, so they all start in the same default user spot.
This won't be a problem once we have a WorldBuilder, or if we run an event with everyone playing the same civ.
I will call out that I am working on settings for another event following this one. After playing initial games, is there any input of things to be aware of when setting that up?
