Just a note, shotguns should really always leave their weapon mod slot open for a laser sight, as an increase in crit chance as you get closer to the target is the perfect match for a shotgun. Should have mentioned this earlier, and of course you all were free to overrule me.
Surprise! Turns out I'm a girl!

If you disable the DLC story missions, you get the weapons right from the beginning. It seems weird to me that you'd get something better right away for free, so I banned them in my solo campaign.

Speaking of DLC, I suggest we don't release the Rulers before we have some kind of way to deal damage over time.

Ah, so they actually come from some sort of story mission? Makes sense now.

Release the rulers? If it's not obvious how does that happen? (I'd rather not release them accidentally)

Playing now.

Well you played the part where we got the weapons tongue Based on your report seems that we just got a pop-up out of nowhere.

To not release the rulers, we have to ignore the related DLC mission until we're ready. It should stay on the map forever.

The wtf reaction was more my inexperience with any dlc material rather then random acquirement. We actually got them from the cargo recovery rumor.

Will post the full report later on, but a quick summary:

Dreylin is unfortunately out of action for a while... Everyone else gets a promo, and we can get SS1 in the next turnset to make things easier. Doesn't look like we can afford early blacksite though.

Picked up expanded magazine and advent datapad as loot.

I'm thinking Lewwyn gets Shadowstrike, WK gets Shredder and Jowy gets Haywire Protocol. I don't have a problem if we want to do any of the alternatives though (Shadowstep/strike are both meh, and the other promos while useful later don't do much right now).

Jkaen or Dp101 are up.

Yeah, you need to not run the Vahlen mission if you don't want them loose:
