Niall gasps in pain, narrowly avoiding a death-grip on his neck, but no sooner does blood begin to flow than it seems to retreat back into his wounds at Elizabeth's touch. Niall lashes out again, but wildly.

The mountain lion slashes at Niall again, this time missing her bite but tearing with a paw swipe. It barely notices to dagger that flashed by, nicking it.

Bite hitting AC=12, Claw1 hitting AC=9, Claw2 hitting AC=21, damage=4

It does however flinch as Windbreaker flashes by, tearing at its ear.

Lady Elizabeth gets a little miffed at this undoing of her spell.  She pulls out her Morningstar and bashes the lion, yelling
Hey!  I just fixed him, you scruffy overgrown cat!  You'll be a rag rug when I'm through with you!

And anyway, I'm sure I taste much better than he does!

Well, the dice are being a little more kind to me, anyway!

What skill would I roll to try to make the lion attack me instead of Niall?  Handle Animal, Intimidate, Diplomacy, Other?  Would it be a separate action, or incorporated in the yelling?

Well, looks like Elizabeth still has a lot to learn about animals...

Well...apparently you started 1000 ft away.  Running is 120 ft/round, assuming you're at a light load.  So that would be about 8-9 total rounds for melee, or you can start shooting as soon as you're within 10 range increments, but you take a -2 to hit for each increment.  Crossbow is range 80, so you can start shooting at 800 ft with a -18 to hit, which gets 2 better for every 80 feet closer you come.

So, basically...probably after the fight is over, unless you can roll some 20's while sniping or we all start whiffing a lot.  Although if the lion knocks us unconscious, you might be able to arrive before it kills us dead.  And all because we didn't wait 5 minutes for you to catch back up
