Appear to have removed my save attachment. I'm really sorry about that. shallow_thought, were you able to get it? If not, I will repost tonight.
I didn't get a chance to grab it. Re-posting tonight should be fine; I've not really got time to look at this in detail tonight anyway. I'll see how it goes tomorrow, but it might be Friday before I can play and report. After that people are likely to have other commitments, so it will be pretty much up to the turn player whether they get a chance to pick this up between Christmas and New Year; I'm likely to have some time, but I don't have kids...
I just love the set of AI's we've got - most of the religious fanatics in one place. Could Justinian still be out there in the fog?
That GNP graph is very soothing (as is the sight of some cottages coming online at XP). Sketch plan based on comments is to settle Orange, tech fishing, build more workers; aim for IW and Copperopolis next (even though it means delaying courthouses).
Timing of builds at Orange may be interesting, depending on when fishing comes in. How early do we want a library to really put cultural pressure on Cuman?
It may have looked easy, but that is because it was done correctly - Brian Moore
We will need the library ASAP if we want to flip the city (2x cultural influence if it ages for 1000 years, right?) but I don't think we should flip it. We've got chariots and are soon to have axes. We can take it at our leisure. It's in our backlines.
Let's use it to get a heroic epic unit, at least.
Maybe we focus on burning down Khazak?
Orange should sync nicely with getting fishing. If not, I'd say go granary first.

One of the things I had trouble with in the shadow game was having skipped Lit (and Drama, and Music, and Mil Trad). HE is nice. Good reminder, will see what I can do
(cautiously).
Speaking of reminders ... is the save posted?

Looks like a very good set Zalson, just one question, did Mansa spread Hinduism to any of our cities. I posted a missionary last turn.
I'd love to be able to see what's up north (if we could poach a site up by the cows, it'd be massive, if we've a free chariot it'd be an idea to send it up there, and then through Mansa's borders.
Travelling on a mote of dust, suspended in a sunbeam.
No save yet. It's on my personal computer which remains at home. Should have it before I go to bed tonight (today's going to be another long day).
Mansa did spread Hinduism to Yaqob Marley and Bean a Sidhe; I didn't switch because I figured we didn't really need the happiness with both cities at the happy cap either stagnated or building settlers. Once we finish currency, I think we go for it.
We are going to have chariots for days, so no issues with dispatching the next one from Christmas Past up north.

Well I'd be willing to see how the religions shake out. If both Mansa and Boobarella both go Hindu, then it's a no brainer. But if our neck of the woods is a mixed bag, we may need to be a bit more pragmatic.
Actually with Celtia to our west, I'm a bit worried about where Izzy is, we met her early and yet don't know where she is. Monty I'm fairly sure is North or East of Mansa and Charlemagne is East of Boudicca.

I'll definitely try to get some longer-range scouting going on. Agreed that we don't need to pick a religion any time soon - gold and silver should keep us happy for a little while. I see the save, thanks Zalson, and will download it when I get to the right computer this evening.

Agree that you don't need religion at this moment.
With the slow growth of basically all your cities gold and silver are enough for the moment and it's not that long until calendar...
Question is more what to do when Mansa comes asking you to convert?
I'd lean towards taking the diplo hit (he's still got some ground to cover if he wants to invade), but it's certainly not a clear cut case.
