Firstly, I have a townread on both Novice and Winston since I think a mindmeld of that level within the same minute can only ever come from town, and a minor townread on Gaz for responding positively to someone nitpicking his post a bit. If you include me as town, that means that (assuming my reads are correct, which they rarely are) 4/7 of the players are town from my perspective, which means that within the last 3 (lew, adrien, Jabbz) there are the entire scum team. I don't think I am as right as this post might suggest, but I am at least confident.
Secondly, there are 7 players. If we assume the traditional D1 mislynch goes off, then the doctor fails in their duty, we are left with 3 town and 2 mafia, putting us at lylo on D2. This has the potential to be a very quick game if town are not at the top of their game.
Wait. A mindmeld of what level? I swear I'm not being obtuse, but I really don't see the correlation.
I also don't see any reason why a "mindmeld" would clear two independently acting people. What? Scum and town both posting at the same time could achieve the same effect.
I swear my head is spinning.
BBL have to give exams.
I just think that two people posting moderately lengthy and detailed posts on the same set of posts is more likely to come from town than mafia at this point, because firstly, they posted in the same minute so it can't have been scum sheeping town, secondly, because from my own experiences scumming here w/w x-posts tend to be short and prompted from the rest of their team, so the length puts me off, and lastly posts as similar as theirs must come from similar mindsets, which makes it more likely that they are the same alignment, and given that there are only 2 scum in the game it is very unlikely that those two would also be the members of a mindmeld. Hope this clears up what I was thinking.

What? Scum typically has their own thread, conniving to cross post wouldn't be challenging in the least... Beside that however, I don't know about other players, but when I played wolf in the past I didn't constantly refer to the wolf QT. I felt doing so would show me to be scum really quickly. I can't imagine most of the rest of the players in this game don't view it the same. That kind of kills your whole idea of "prompted by the rest of their team" bit.
I don't think this means they are scum, or that you are, I just think it's a terrible place to stake a flag for their towniness, as it's basically a null tell.

My point is not that scum cannot crosspost or something like that, my experience in 43 here would easily prove that wrong. My point is rather that I doubt mafia would deliberately engineer a crosspost to somehow acquire a townread. I understand not referring to the QT too much, I try not to myself these days, I just mentioned the prompting point because that would be (IMO) the most common cause of scum crossposting. In fact, since there are only 2 scum, my prompting point was probably completely misguided since the situation I was thinking (1 scum prompts 2 others to post more, both are online and post at the same time) cannot occur. At this point I have confused myself, so I should probably just put them both back to null at this point.

Right... Just because two people seem to have similar mindsets doesn't make them the same team. Scum and Town could easily and very often do post similar things at similar times. And of course they could both easily be town as well, but that particular crosspost isn't a good reason to declare them innocent.

So, I'm not really sure. Everyone is feeling pretty null for me right now. Maybe slight town lean on novice for lighthearted town. Maybe scum lean on Jabbz for a confusing and forced opening. I agree that he's being more reasonable now, but I don't like pre-planned joke stuff and lean scum on that type of gambit.
For the moment, Jabbz

Eh, as good a reason as any for day one. I've yet to find someone scummy enough to lodge a real vote. Mine on novice is not to be taken seriously, and is unlikely to remain on him to EOD, unless he does something odd.

So even though I recognised that I was wrong and went back on my read, I still get voted for it? Like, are you just assuming that scum are the only people who will ever make bad reads or something? Me being an idiot is an integral part of my town game, and I really don't like votes that are just because someone is bad. My vote is not moving.
