It's natural to WANT to discuss it. It's not necessarily the best thing to do. Personally I don't care much either way and I assign no scum points to you for discussing it or for Rowain for responding. But I disagree with your post here for two reasons. First - you say you could talk about it in the scum thread, but that misunderstands Rowain's point completely. It's not that scum want to talk about it with each other, they want to encourage the discussion publicly to glean information about how townies will respond.

Second, saying 'this isn't making you look good' is suggesting that Rowain's responses to you are scummy. Or that making the argument he is making is not in line with Rowain's town game. I think that even if you disagree with Rowain, it is a stretch to think that his post is not town-like. Town Rowain is often who I disagree with most!

Jabbz reaction is out of bound. I would understand it if he were a powerrole but since there are none it looks to me like a very lonely scum (neither Lewwyn nor psilly have posted till now.)

On the other hand, something needs to happen in order to kickstart discussion/get things you can make reads with, and if you don't have anything else to talk about, starting a discussion about the setup isn't the worst thing.

Discussing setup is one thing discussing how town would react if scum does x or y is something completely different.

I read read the thread twice before I understood the setup. I got it now. Going to try to use my voice to text on my phone to type this. Oh my god this is so amazing it's working so well.

Mostly just as I read through DP and Jabbz interactions felt premeditated in a scummy kind of way.

So my understanding would be that scum get to put 3 townies up for lynch on day 2, and we as town have to decide which one we can most afford to lose? Is there any possibility of killing a scum on day 2? There almost has to be at least 1 scum in the trio put forth, otherwise with our limited number it outs the scum as one of the 3 people not in that pile.  My head hurts.

I would expect that they put at least one in the three, since it is an auto-lose otherwise. Well, actually, only if is it expected that they put none in is it a recipe for loss, otherwise the people not nominated are the ones under suspicion. Like you, my head hurts.

But seriously, DP is still voting for Jabbz at this point. Also DP feels formal, uses too many commas.

Suffice to say I may be projecting slightly because as scum in small games like this I often vote for my scumbuddy first. Still, something's stinky.
