Alps for sure, unsure past that. Skis are plastic, right? Can you ski in Germany? There might be cliffs or drops around.

Apparently I need to read the thread better. Um, do you use a plane to get to the place that you ski? Rental TAGS on ski gear? Crane->lift->chair lift-> ski?

Mm, agreed there has to be something better for Alps + Germany.
Also, skis as opposed to skiing is presumably to point us at the object rather than the action.

Plastic is definitely a possibility.
But based on the plural Skis, I think my favourite second choice would be Plane, as seaplanes have skis as undercarriage. Willing to be convinced otherwise though.

Clever thinking RE Plane, either is fine with me, although I'm worried plane could be red.  

I'd prefer we table the choice for thexample moment though and guess flute, to clear it off the board.
