Muskets are only Knights +7 strength, I'm not that worried. Our knights are still stronger at 58 base. But yeah, tough to move forward. If we can kill him that would be nice.

If I want to stay competitive I need to press my luck in 2-3 turns and try to pressure Shuyler with my crossbowmen, probably advancing under the cover of the jungle in the south.
One more turn of getting things into place. I also plunder his pasture, every little bit helps. In 2 turns I will boost feudalism and have stirrups as well, maybe starting to crawl back into action there.

I am tempted to take it, we have about 8 turns to the inevitable Singaboy dow.
I doubt we could deliver a fatal blow to Oledavy until then. Question is will Oledavy DoF us?
I am taking the peace and offered a DoF. I did not declare the war so oledavy in theory shouldn't hold a grudge. Either we get to fight Singaboy alone again. Or we fight for our bare survival. 8 turns till Singa dows.
Good news, Singaboy is of course a better target, provided we can both safeguard our borders from each other. I start sharing your puzzlement now, why didn't Davy DoF us and go for the lower hanging fruit? Must have thought muskets would decide it for him no problem.
His Seoul offensive must have been a disaster. Partly explaining why our push for Frankfurt so easily suceeded.
No screenies unfortunately, my poor country PC in remote session nearly got a heart attack. Quick summary.
DoF with Oledavy, all troops enroute to Singaboy. 3 workers working, feudalism and stirrups boosted and completed. Barracks in capital, 1 more trade route. 50% build rate for ranged medieval adopted. Soon mercenaries. I expect Singaboy to have musketman as well soon, we will see what happens. also Alhambram and Woden have double the milpower and will engage each other probably. And Oledavy is moving towards: WODEN. Stuff is happening and my connection is too slow for screenies.
8 turns to Mercenaries, 2 monuments on the way so this will be quicker soon.
Oledavy and me exchange borders and he seems to be marching on to Woden. Building barracks and repairing an encampment to get more GG points as they are the thing which kept me in the game so far. 4 crossbowmen atm and soon 1 knight and 7 crossbowmen, if I am lucky Singa will underestimate the GGs as well as Oledavy. |
