Take first half so as to have the earlier galley movement. Also it'll prevent having a four-way Couevra/you/Gavagai/Krill turnsplit at this stage of the game, which is frankly ridiculous

It would probably be five-way, since Coeurva is almost certainly at war with yuris125 on the other side. yuris125 just made 2 2-pop whips this turn, incidentally.
Good thing we just got out under the split with GermanJoey (which he probably suspects, but does not know, about).

Also, our single warrior might actually be able to hold off two chariots, if I promote it to Combat II and then switch on auto-promote for the interturn.
... I suppose our next research has to be Iron Working, right?

If he loads two units that are on that galley, you most likely lose that city.
The main question is whether it's worth the risk of wasting the gold to upgrade your warrior to a spear.

Well, if he does that, I can probably launch a counter-strike at his.

... that didn't even occur to me, because most of the time I wouldn't have the 80 gold, but we do now. 12 less than I thought; we've got 168 gold.

That's bad from a 'let's at least have a sane game speed in the Ancient Era, damnit' perspective
Also, if he *is* at war with Yuri, it does indicate a lower probability that he'll want to hit your city if the odds aren't very good.

Well, let's see.
A spear should easily hold off two chariots or spears attacking amphibiously. It has about a 2/3 chance of beating an axe then a chariot/spear, if I promote it to Shock and turn on auto-promote.
... that might actually be worth it.

Even with his high power rating, I'm not sure how he has the force to raze a city of CML (enough to turn him into Yuri), attack ours with enough force for a >50% chance of victory, and also defend his own city.

Why did he claim a turn split at that point of time anyway? It's not like either of you had galleys then that could attack the other side.

Also, Mardoc may have won the prize for the 'everyone in a PB game in a turnsplit at the earliest time' map designer award. If so, congratulations!
