as our boats just met, I could help you locate another city state besides Valletta. In return, you could guide me to a city state that you have met before. Does that sound like a good deal.

Certainly, if you circle around Valetta and then go west you'll find my island, on it is Toronto, to the north of my capital, which is at the same latitude as Valetta about ten tiles west of it. I'm willing to allow you to explore my coastal waters if you'll allow me to do the same on your island too.

to reach the city state, you need to sail to the east, it's around 8 tiles east of Valletta. Same latitude

As for exploring each others Islands, you would likely get stuck at some point due to my borders. In order to get an agreement on open borders, there has to be some sort of agreement or compensation. Any thoughts? (e.g 30 turns friendship, some monetary compensation or mutual open borders)

I'm willing to sign mutual open borders, but I'm not willing to sign anything beyond that, 30 turns is way to long IMHO. I'll warn you though, that without Open Borders Toronto will be hard to reach...

I am fine with mutual open borders for now, but could not send that deal as you don't have that option yet. I would want it to be mutual though.
