What city troops, High Men have nothing good until Magician...well Pikemen are not bad if you have Life but I don't.
Neutrals...I found some Klackons, +4 unrest, I burned them...
Also found some nomads, Nagas are too weak to conquer those (didn't have guardian wind at start). Not that a city 20 tiles from my start helps much anyway.

Also, I realized Nagas still suck. As soon as you find Halberdiers, they are useless because...those negate first strike.

Oh well, so far still doing ok. Question is, how long that will last...

Nagas have one glorious benefit: they're good against bezerkers :P

i'd like some insight on why you choose to do what you do. i know editing the video to add text is a chore. what about adding spoken memoes?

Can't. My spoken English is not good and my mother keeps talking to me all the time even if I'm busy doing something and she is 2 rooms away.

your english feels good enough but of course i respect your decision. by the way, where are you from?

Writing English and speaking it are like two different languages. English is not a "write what you say" language unfortunately - the same letter can be like 5 different sounds sometimes. That's insane.

I do love teaching English to people who can recognize how ridiculous it is. (I do a lot of tutoring in a variety of subjects.)

High men pikemen are pretty great units, if you can avoid the resistance problem. Resist magic + flame blade would be devastating until you start hitting mass ranged units. Should be able to take a lot of nodes just with flame blade. Thoug h you'd need flight for a lot of them too. But starting at elite makes them monsters.

Well yeah that's for the damage but how do I make them not die? They are melee units with low armor. I guess they are cheap but idk, Expert is not that easy to throw away units every battle in the early game. Especially after spending 75 to buff them. I guess next time I try that, this time I didn't pick Flame Blade.

true, but it's usually still easy to understand even if not perfect. but i understand pride, no problem at all.

The big thing is making sure to start at elite, so they have the extra HP. Makes a huge difference to survival. And you can pick lairs/nodes without strong ranged, to some extent.
