@Woden and @Archduke, I declared war on CFCJesterfool this turn.
He has units in the water escorted by galleys and accompanied by a battering ram, in the vicinity of Jerusalem/The Belt. Since he did not respond to my diplo post, I can only assume hostile intent and started pre-emptively attacking this turn.
Note, he is limited to moving through coastal waters without Cartography. Woden, if you wish to use your fleet in the region to assist, I would welcome it.

I have ships inbound as I think he is after Jerusalem and I was planning on stopping him anyways. I will see where he is at on my next turn.

@Oledavy
Understandable. I declined a DoF because of that.

What I find interesting is that everyone is friends right now (excluding Japan vs Germany and the fake war Brazil vs Japan.) I also can't believe a crummy city state (when quite a few are gone already) is worth protecting from the last place player. I understand where England is heading (too bad I have very few cities), oledavy can chop the Venetian Arsenal out whenever he wants, but I can't quite figure out how Brazil gets into a winning position by attacking me.
P.s. Had to work late so couldn't get to the turn until just before this post. Apologies.

The thing is, it is not just any old city-state. It strategically opens me up for attack on my core. I don't care who is going for it, I am going to try and stop them until I can take it. If it makes you feel better, my ships were headed there anyways to try and capture it for myself. I just saw you heading there when my first ship arrived. The main reason I didn't accept friendship from you is that I am not going to let what happen to me in PBEM2, with Alhambram taking Zanzibar while I could do nothing, happen again. Nothing personal.

Why not let me take it first then you can have it. Cities lose walls when captured and it takes time to rebuild them (if I was inclined to be known as a liar). My army would take the brunt of damage in taking Jerusalem which would allow you to take it without much damage to your ships. Seems fair to me at least. You could also liberate the city and recapture it the following turn if ten turns is too long to wait (for the cede offer).

You'll probably need a new army if you want to do that !

@Woden,
if you would be able to see Archduke's navy and look carefully at oledavy's research and culture numbers + his completely OP Venetian Arsenal (most likely in production), I would think twice to align yourself with them. They are going to rip me apart from next turn onward and you will be next. Mark my words! Giving oledavy the time to build up his navy was your biggest mistake. Wait and see!

@ Woden
He just conquered Toronto in 1 turn and has the production, science and culture of an amount of cities which are double mine and Oledavy´s. Rest assured we will take care that you will get your fair share.
@ Oledavy
I am engaging hard this turn, I hope you do the same and not allow him to return assets from your front. Toronto is annoying I just suzerained them.
@ Singaboy
I have been there before, with two GGs in PBEM #2 and I melted away in wave after wave of Hansa produced armies. I am very cautious if I can actually take something of you.

@Woden,
don't listen to that nonsense oledavy and Archduke are posting here. In such a game, the navy rules and my culture and science numbers (which aren't that stellar) are meaningless now. I am about to lose my first core city and the rest will crumble like a deck of cards. Archduke has 5 frigates supported by caravels and with two Great Admirals, they make minced meat of everything in their paths. They are like Alhambram's UU with GG minus the terrain penalties as sea movement is completely unrestricted. They can reach YOU in a mere three turns I reckon.
Don't say I didn't warn you.
