Oh. Funny! OK, I guess that's a rare enough condition that it can be ignored then.

Yeah I think it doesn't set the value to zero at the start of the game. So it's random - whatever was at that memory address originally...

Whew. Glad/not glad it was something like this.  I was afraid the AI had gotten super good at scouting with long scout range units, and so I actually hadn't seen them coming in. Hopefully it's fixable!

Yeah it was already fixed and will be part of the next release.

Good job.

Might the same be happening for nodes? I have an AI warping nodes on another plane that I'm 100% sure it hasn't ever visited. The entire plane, not the nodes.

Nodes never had an AI scouting feature.

Yup just like unit curses, nodes can be targeted anywhere. (So firestorm, dispelling wave, blizzard, warp node, all can simply target anything on either plane.)

With the new version released, is an offsite rehost of the modded game files a possibility?

I think the easiest is to just upload it here...

I'm attacking a lair. It has 2 gargoyles and 7 hell hounds.  Its next to (and presumably within the aura of) a chaos node (since the node had hydra, I'm assuming all the adjacent squares are covered.)

The Hell Hounds are.. 6 melee, 6 breath, 6 defense, 9!!! resistance.  The gargoyles are 7 melee, 13 armor, 13 resistance.

I didn't really think about it, but the hydra I just took out had 17 resistance and 8 armor; and were accompanied by Chimera with at least 9 armor, maybe 10 armor (but I killed them several battles before, and I didn't notice to wonder).

??

I've attached the save before I attack; my 8 magicians + Baghtru are going to attack the gargoyle lair to the north east.
