Roads in Myrran

The way roads work in Myrran has changed from what it was in the original game. Is this a new feature or is it a bug? It used to be unlimited movement on glowing roads now it's very limited.

I really prefer the old method (aka unlimited movement).

Is there any way to make the game use the original unlimited methodology?

Because if you can reach the entire world in one move you don't need more than one army to win.

You need a few more than one but a lot less.

I agree with Seravy, it's completely game-breaking, similar to the original pathfinding of 0.5mv or 'word of recall'

And no, you don't need a few more than 1. You need 1. Even without infinite movement, you only need a few more than 1 to win. Overland movement is the single most abuseable thing the human can do in CoM, which is why almost everything that increases it has been changed/nerfed/removed entirely.

Yeah when I was a kid in the 90s I played MoM like I played homm, or even an RPG, I had my doom stack that wandered the world exploring and slaying. Definitely only needed 1 stack to win in the 90s.

It's still like that, just abuse ships. You can win with 2 heroes and 6 giant lizards if you have enough triremes...
