Things are still quiet on the home front..

Bastion is still building defenses Jess is on builder duty, and Lake city is finishing up a monument.

Suboptimal is swiftly reaching the end of his days.

And I am still ensuring that Persia does not out flank me.

Monument, Settler, and some much need housing for bastion is on the way. I knew Persia was coming but wanted to get some much needed builds done if I could.

My builds are close to being complete, and defensive tactics can't come soon enough. 

Austrilia is gone. Not sure if it was this turn or the last.

Probably last turn judging by where my scout is. Also at some point I got TheArchduke to give me 3 more luxuries and open borders. The amenities will be needed soon.

Well, 2 turn until defensive tactics is in.

1 or two turns ago I switched over to unit builds in all 3 cities. Creator Lake did finish its monument, and Jess finished her settler. I needed units now so Bastion did not finish its granary.

The calm before the storm...

This may be a time were spearmen come in handy so I got bastion building one. I have good hill positions east of bastion so archers will help. Then the sword will come in handy if only to keep the city defense values high.

Only got a picture of the civic swap I did.

Pretty self explanatory. I am broke, so 1 per unit helps a bit. +1 production could be the difference in 1 turn for some of these builds. City defense will help with what I was assuming to be knights and crossbowmen, then I needed archers more than horseman, so I went with agoge and built archer's and swords.

Persia at the gates!

I have found the priority for battles in this game is to not let the city under attack get surrounded, and destroy the battering ram's. Also I do not want to get flanked so can't let any horseman slip by.

Those knight were causing some issues's. A timely sword out of jess stopped his flanking move and the 44 strength city attack is helping.
