Georgia, Georgia.... Emperor K will take Georgia to the world stage.

So I got my list

Georgia
Indonesia
Australia
China
Rome
Greek

I really wanted to give the Cree a try. I will have to do some research on Georgia, but just looking at the list I am thinking Australia.

As always lurkers opinions are welcome.

I don't think you can play the first six civs on your list...the official Realms Beyond expansion to Civ VI hasn't been released yet. lol

Civ Overview

Georgia - won't bother with an overview, all of there bonuses seem lackluster compared to the other 5 choices I have.

Rome / China / Greece - Have been played in many PBEM's so I really would like to try a Civ I have not played much with.

So that leaves

Australia
-As long as I keep my Military score up, The bonus production should be a huge deterrent to would be attackers.
-Pastures as usually abundant, can count on at least 1 per city on average, maybe 2+
-Outback stations are nice for turning out production from tiles that usually provide none or very little.
-This game would have to go on for very long to even consider the digger having any effect.
-The tile bonus for breathtaking as Suboptimal showed can be very powerful while at the same time very restrictive on how cities are planned.

Indonesia
-With lakes scattered about, and there being an inland sea I should be able to make good use of adjacency bonus as well as the extra faith from city centers. Rivers not applying this bonus could mean my capital and first city won't be able to take advantage of this though.
-Buying Naval units with faith seems useful on this type of map as well. I can save my faith for Naval purchases while focusing production on other builds.
- The unique Jong is impressive. Not only can it come much sooner than frigates, it is stronger and moves faster. I like the idea of not having to worry as much about being invaded via the sea, so that will allow me to build a strong defensive position.
-I think the builder improvement Kampung will only see limited value. While housing is always nice, It is entirely dependent on how many sea resources are in the area.

OK so i read some info on the expansion for the first time, and I think I really need to play a test game or two with each of my choices. If eureka's only give %40 now then china starts looking very good. Also discounted production for Greece really sounds appealing. I really did want to play a new team but Georgia does not look to be any good in MP. City state bonuses are wasted and the extra faith from war declaration I can only see actually helping me defend is if I am in Theocracy. Still will give them a try, but with the changes made to the game and the fact that Australia and Indonesia are a bit more map dependent than Greece / Rome / China, I may just go for one of the base Civs for this one.

AIUI, China's eurekas / inspirations are now 50%.

Alright played a few test games

Now that governors are important I think it makes each teams unique bonuses less powerful, governors even things out a bit.

China, seems to be the easiest to get a golden age and keep one.

Australia, while extremely powerful each game I played I thought they were weak if pastures / appeal tiles were not readily available.

Indonesia, much the same as Australia, If I start by a lake or the coast the early pantheon is nice, however the bonuses just don't seem to mean as much. I got far more faith from china for instance.

Georgia, I am currently playing a 3 player ffa on a standard inland sea map (world age new) with my bro and cousin. I got a normal age in the classical, but have stayed in Golden ages since and we are in the Renaissance. The extra envoy also has helped me keep suzarian over several of them, and the Protectorate War ability is actually not to bad. I skipped over the Unique Unit and now it is a bit late for them. The ability to build quicker tier 3 walls is a bit nice though.

I would still like to try a game as Rome, but as of right now I am leaning towards china. With early first Religion and Golden ages allowing settlers and builders to be bought with faith and having 6 charge builders with governor and pyramids is just so nice. Not to mention the +4Icon_Faith Religion bonus just helps fuel that even more.

Also my cousin (Playing as Cree) declared war on Yeveran (my suzarian) and the turn after he took the city, my brother and I got an emergency to take back the city. We have 30 turns to do so and Get like 1600Icon_Gold if we do it. So the emergencies are pretty cool.

I have decided, with the spirit of the Game being in the expansion, and the fact that Rome / China / Greece / Australia, have all been played I think I should play either Georgia or Indonesia.

Since Indonesia is more suited towards islands, and I now have some experience with Georgia, maybe I can put them to good use.

I shall be Playing Georgia!!

So now for a naming scheme, I have been playing a lot of Warhammer total war lately and my two favorite teams are the High elves and Vampire Counts. Maybe something like High Elf leader names with a "von k" at the end or something to that extent.
