Sullla won't sign peace because he saw the glob of units next to Cornflakes/Japper. The possibility of them taking the cities is too painful. He would just pull back the units worst-case.

CMF/Woden said that they plan to DoW at turn 99 or 100 while sullla could offer peace at turn 100. It always surprises me how slow and clumsy units are in Civ6 so I'm leaning toward a turn 100 DoW. Because Sulla moves first he wins tiebreaks.
I put the odds of Japper/Cornflakes of getting bailed out of this much lower than 50% because I'm sure that singaboy will be able to talk Sullla down about this.

Sullla's paranoia, while not completely unfounded, is hilarious to watch.
CMF and Woden are in a pretty good position to capitalize on whatever outcome occurs in the west. If Sullla keeps fighting, it distracts Khmer/Kongo units from the Eastern Front. If Sullla peaces out, CMF and Woden can take Heart of Darkness out from under him. Timing of war decs will be very crucial here.
Also, getting this in before the defense of Heart of Darkness is completely botched.

What does Sullla's iron-for-iron deal mean? I've read that sheep-for-sheep in civ 4 means you don't want to fight...so iron-for-iron means you're ready to fight?
EDIT: At least I'm not the only one who's confused
Chevalier Mal Fet Wrote:Now for the weird news. Sullla came offering a bizarre deal that I can't make heads nor tails of.
Now, I've worked out from reading other PBEMs that gold amounts are typically used as timers in non-diplomatic games. So, in 6 turns, Sullla wants...iron? What's going on here? Is he asking for a joint war with Khmer in six turns - like, inviting us to join and share the spoils? But there's a joint war button! Maybe you can only offer that to allies and he doesn't want to commit to an alliance? Is he threatening us to back off or he attacks in six turns? Is he just trying to cultivate relations to get a handle on my intentions, to butter me up?

It look's like singaboy won't stop the LOL.
Amusingly, due to turn order, there's a good chance that Sullla offers peace CMF/Woden DoWs and then Japper accepts peace. Because you cannot see the peace treaty being offered Sullla will know that CMF/Woden were planning to DoW Japper/Cornflakes all along.

No idea if it is competitive, but I will lay down the VA foundations on turn 103 and harvest 1 stone, 1 forest and 1 rainforest via galley chops into it over 5-6 turns. I will also add 2 trade routes over the next turns, we will see if we can land it. I am doubtful as I was slow on science for a long time.
And it looks like we have another entry in to the race for the Venetian Arsenal.
A little overview:
Sullla: Starts on T100 and has one Limes Forest chop lined up. Last build estimate: T125
CMF: Starts on T108? Has three Stones, one Forest and one Jungle with Naval Production. Last build estimate: T110
TheArchduke: Starts on T103 and has one Stone, one Forest and one Jungle with Naval Production. Last build estimate: ???
Anyone with more chop knowledge know when TheArchduke could finish?
This along with the war over Khmerongo will be very interesting to watch!

Well Alschwangen isn't going to work, because the industrial zone isn't coastal - the VA map marker is on a land tile.

What an amazing timing coincidence, Sullla will be kicking himself after he realizes the misinterpretation of war intent.
