Altair sends off a colony ship to Zoctan, and also starts a prebuild.
A spy on the Klackons was caught and confessed, again.
Whoops, the Silicoids have a colony ship over our planet of Mu Delphi now. How'd it get all the way there? Ah well, they probably can't reach it without Reserve Fuel Tanks, not that big a deal.
Year 2406
I see the Silicoids have Range 7, so trading that away to others won't hurt as much now. I'm not going to do that now, though.
They also have Improved Industrial Tech 6.
Year 2407
I can see the Silicoids sending a colony ship to Zoctan. Why them? My own colony ship will greet them next turn. I remembered to put a little weaponry on it, too.
Year 2408
Our colony ship meets the Silicoid colony ship over Zoctan.
Hot popgun on popgun action!
We have the upper hand, but we don't quite have the firepower to blow up their colony ship before the time limit, and the Silicoids plant their flag. Zoctan fail, again.
Oh well, the bears have their own fleet incoming to Zoctan, again.
I had some of our crawling warp-1 fighters show up at Zoctan. Rather than antagonize the Silicoids, I retreated them to Reticuli.
Year 2410
Nuts, the Silicoids are the ones to send a colony ship to Thrax.
Our lone scout falls short of being able to time out the Silicoid colony ship's laser by about 12 turns, and the Silicoids plant yet another flag.
The rocks also had a colony ship arrive at Beta Ceti this turn.
Our Rockpoker fighters are on top of things here, and blow up the colony ship.
A spy on the Klackons got caught and confessed, again. I think we're going to need better Computer tech for us not to be wasting BCs there; I move the slider back down some and tell spies to Hide.
Volantis completes its missile base; I shut down defense spending there.
I start Toranor on a prebuild too, but for colony ships once Controlled Toxic Environment comes in. That puts us on enough ship builds that we can't get full interest value on research; oh well.
Altair, Rigel, Denubius, and Toranor are all on prebuilds; the first three are intended to be our invasion fleet, the last for colony ships.
Gatling Laser should pop imminently. Once it does, my intention was to let you trade for whatever additional technologies you want from the Silicoids and the Mrrshans, design our actual invasion fleet, and convert prebuilds into an instant fleet.
Controlled Toxic Environment is due to mature not too long after Gatling Laser. We should probably research Improved Terraforming +20 next, even if a better terraforming level is available, since we'll get it much faster.
Save and report attached. Things are a little bit chaotic in our empire right now. IT+20 popped just this turn and I haven't allocated any spending yet. You have 5 turns to grow as much population as possible. Planetary Shields V also popped this turn. We are only at war with the Klackons, but our campaign hasn't raised relations as much as I hoped it would. Our fleet is mostly in orbit at their Ocean planet whose name escapes me at the moment. Vote in five years. Good luck!

Sweet, our bug war is finally underway, about 20-30 turns after I thought we'd launch it, heh. I could have started it slightly earlier, but I felt it was simpler to hand everything off to you with everything all set to go, and let you customize everything to your heart's desire.
I thought Range 7 would get you some decent war tech from the friendlier AIs. Ah well.
If diplo win is available should we take it? I'm normally a fan of pushing on to at least domination (50% of votes directly owned); I guess we might actually have that by the vote. However, I'm not sure how much fun/challenge is left in this game.
Also, I'll try to play tonight, but if I don't get started or get most of it done I might have to ask for a skip - I'm away in the run-up to Easter and won't have much time after today.
