So I am playing my son and he tells me he is so confident he can beat me he is going to give me a free piece:

Perhaps these can help you:

2. Have an engine active on some device.
3. Have Magnus Carlsen in the room next to you telling you what to play. Somewhat like #2, but harder to tell if your level of play is high enough otherwise.

(Some people earnestly think that these are not detectable.)

There is also a debug mode on lichess. You have to type "chipotle" into the chat. This gives you access to the secret piece, the archbishop, which can move like a knight and bishop at once, except if your IP is located in Fulda or Cammin, which are exempt.

Playing Black, opponent resigned immediately.  Any idea why?  I like my position but I don't see a sequence that's immediately winning.

Your opponent probably just had to go. Unless it's correspondence in which case I have no idea. No reason to resign.

Its correspondence. Maybe he noticed the discovered attack on his Queen and didn't realize the Pawn that took my Knight was in a position to take back.

I think black is winning.

...BxQ
PxQ Bxcp
R-Moves pxp

and white is two pawns down

Black isn't winning by that sequence. White is up a piece (the knight). I'd assume Black should play ...QxN, though it looks like a pretty even and probably drawn position from there.

I was planning to take the Knight and blow up his Queen side; I felt like my position was stronger but not an instant win.  Fun game I had recently:

I wish I had been allowed to play out the end game, I actually spent a lot of time planning out the variations.
