I agree that Karthain was the right call for a rush. The only downside to the settling location is that it puts most of the choppable forests 3rd ring to all three cities. Anything good in the band of fog from the last set of screenshots or just more jungle?

So either Japper is a strategic genius and knows my attack is fake, or he is really oblivious to the kind of threat I would pose.

If my armies weren´t going south for the last 10 turns. I am very interested in finding out which it is.

So far Rowain seems happy with the status quo, not offering me another DoF but not daring to provoke me. Just as well, I settled on our frontier and try to show him only the fewest amount of chariots on the border. As soon as my power explodes again with Horseman he could dow me.

I should have kept my damn trader. But perhaps I will Magnus chop/rush a market for a trader quickly at Camorr.

   

But so far, Rowain seems happy to build the Oracle, which is a peculiar choice.

Would you consider settling directly on the iron 1NW of your marker at Iron Site?  That might be a better site:

- the city will immediately produce 1 without needing to allocate a citizen to work a tile.  
- it keeps two iron "first ring" and one iron second ring, so no change there.
- it gets a 2 tile in the first ring, which the current site doesn't have
- it gets cattle second ring, which will help with
- it gets crab second ring, which is good if you have to harvest for cash or can boat up for another 2 tile
- there's a farm triangle available directly NE of that iron that would solve the food situation

Regarding Japper I've never understood his thinking in these PBEMs.  Granted, I'm not close to an expert in these things but even with my limited ability something just seems....off.

I just saw your cultural output.    At that rate I think waiting for inspirations in the Classical age is unnecessary.  They'd only save you a 2-3 turns at most and you'll be moving too fast through the tree to be able to micro that well, I think.

Culture is a result of the culture plantation pantheon which is imo ridiculous (you had it in PBEM #4)

Yeah, Japper is still low on milpower, would love to hear the reason for that. As far as he knows chariots could come over his hills any second.

Both my main cities have Ordus, horseman production is on target, plan is to get 6 of them GG boosted with 8 chariots as a flanking force and a battering ram.

Round 2 everyone. We will soon see if my divert attention dow worked.

Maybe I panic but I start a commercial hub and will chop out a market and a trader (damn Rise and Fall for that nonsense..)
