Perhaps he doesn't know about the combat bonus from diplomatic visibility? Anyway you slice it, that's as much game throwing as you can reasonably imagine.
So, delegations disappear once war is declared? This means EmpK was right all along. Free 25g!!

Lurking this game starts to become annoying, because it's just Magnus Chop here, Magnus Chop there. Civ 6 as a whole is pestered by the stupid chop overflow mechanics. Every single post seems to be about chopping something into whatever % card is highest. But if you fix the overflow rules, then you just can't produce anything other than units (not even districts will be of any expected payback value; wonders would be even more non-existant, except for stupid China ability).
If anything is bad enough to bring about the need for a light balance mod... this would be it.

That chariot rush is just brutal. I feel sorry for Emperor K. Everybody was surprised that he picked Georgia, but I don't really know what he could have done against this attack.
Masonry would have been his saving grace, but how realistic was it for him to get it in a straight beeline?
He already has Archery and several units running around. Really interesting to see a rush succeed.

You need to declare war in Mongolia as soon as possible, especially if you sniff a rush. That way, at least you deny the +6 strength.
Spears and HCs of his own could help.

Was a bit disappointing. Did not think the chariots would have 35+ strength. Thought he was going for Kabul. Had couple spears 3 turns away but masonry was a good 6 turns or so out. May have been able to chop out walls if he went for the city state, oh well I'll have to work on my rush defense.

Japper and Chevalier are in for a close settling battle. I wonder how they react to finding the other one's settler. They're quite close already.
If Japper can pull it off, he really does have a lot of land for himself. But it should also put him back on the radar of TheArchuke, who miscalculated his number of cities in his strategic analysis.
Hopefully he'll be better prepared to defend against the Mongol Horde. Although it will get a lot tougher to fight them before it gets easier again.

FYI Archduke killed EMP-K a teammate of his.
Killing someone off is really good in Civ6 due to lack of a true corruption system and Archduke has access to Japper. He's the most likely to win now.
Too bad that this game doesn't count because of Magnus and the Scythia softban that ripped CMF a pick. If I were him I would have threatened to pick Scythia unless I get other bit at the apple.

Didn't see this post.
Would have expected more of a reaction to you getting pwned by Archduke.

Archduke will most likely win this as he has two close civs that are not reacting to his military strength. Is Japper actually building any spears to counter the Mongol hordes?
If you play a game with Archduke in it, there is no room for casual play. This is a real pity when you are in CMF's position and can only watch in horror, while Archduke eats one civ after another. I hope Korea can take some of Japper's pie and then fight a proper battle against Mongols. Would be nice to watch for us lurkers

I see Archduke's aggressive expansion score has gotten high enough that Chevalier is starting off the coalition war.
Oh wait, that's eu4.
