[SPOILERS] ipecac wants a win

AGG/IMP of Zulu looks like a good call indeed. The lushness is overwhelming -- the world is your oyster. I'm jealous.
My sim is bugged. It doesn't register my copper being hooked, so my cities can't build copper units.

Anyway, I should be able to get a settler to X or Y by t45 at latest, and support it with a Axe or an Impi quickly.

There is copper in the BFC!?!  I thought it was understood that mapmakers shouldn't do this.

I need to redo micro, rethink Impi rush, and how much danger JR4 poses since he teched BW some turns ago.

Care to elaborate or is there a thread somewhere on these forums that I have missed where this has been discussed in detail? At least nobody had any problems with BFC copper when I presented the starts in lurker thread. I can write a longer text about the map after the game and e.g. why I wanted BFC copper.

I don't think I remember this accurately, Comm has suggested that it's fine if BFC copper is not on a river connection.

As Mardoc alludes to in this thread, there was some previous angst about copper in BFC (don't remember in which thread). The issue is that if it can be too easily hooked up, someone who starts with Mining can too easily rush another player.

It had something to do with the worldbuilder file having latitude values at 30. Setting both to 0 seems to have solved it.

Interesting points

-no religion is founded yet
-Yuris, wetbandit, William, and Charriu are all at size 3 whereas I have chosen to stay at size 2 to build a Settler
-superdeath is at size 1 still!?

T23:
JR4 grew to size 3 too.

Let's hope it wasn't a mistake to stay at 2.

I'll go for the more conservative border site, which has more food anyway: pig in 1st ring, grass cow and wet corn in 2nd ring.

Micro plan:

T29-> move settler + worker to city #2 site. Capital grows to size 3 eot.
T30-> Found city 2, build warrior. capital works copper, builds worker 2. Worker 1 farms rice.

T33-> Worker 2 done eot.
T34-> Rice farm complete. Worker 2 moves 1SW. Capital builds Worker
T35-> worker 2 starts chop. Worker 1 moves NW of city #2, to road towards city #3 site.
T36-> Worker 1 roads. City 2 grows to size 2 eot
T37-> Worker 1 finishes road, worker 2 finishes road. Capital completes worker 3 eot. AH teched eot.

T38-> Worker 1 moves 1W and road (MAKE SURE IT'S SAFE). Worker 2 stays in place and roads. Worker 3 moves onto copper mine. Capital starts Settler. Research Pottery(?)
T39-> Worker 1 and 2 finishes their road. Worker 3 starts road on copper mine. City #2 grows to size 3 eot.
T40-> Worker 3 finishes road. Worker 1 moves 1SW. Worker 2 moves 1NE to capital. City #2 works rice/fph/forested grass, starts building Axe. Settler complete eot
T41-> City #2 whips Axe, works banana+rice. Worker 2 moves 1NE onto ivory, starts camp. Worker 1 roads. Worker 3 moves SW-SW and starts farm on banana. Settler moves to city #2. Capital builds ???
T42-> Worker 1 complete roads. Settler moves to location 3W and founds city #3.

Notes to self:
-check if roading that tile is safe from wolves
-worker 3 should chop Ikhanda for city#3 instead of building rice farm on T41

This is the plan assuming I'll need an Axe to contest the site. And I just realised Worker 3 should be chopping an Ikhanda to pop borders quickly for city #3, so I'll be modifying the plan.

After city#3 is settled I'm going to push to settle the border site by the eastern gems, which looks promising.

I may need horses to fight for this spot though.

Marble at one end means stone at the other?

The land is really great, maybe the lushest RB map ever.

T29 (part 1):

Interesting news. There's a second jungled gems to the east:

My plan was based on assumption that the two jungled gems I first saw marked the midpoints, but it looks like the midpoint is instead between the two jungled gems, right on the marble.

There is a rough symmetry around the marble. Settling on the marble could be huge, and I have to assume there's a similar setup west. So I am rethinking my settling plan on the west now.

T29 (part 2)

The marble to the east is 8 tiles from my capital, on a plains hill. There is a plains hill 1W of the pigs in the picture below, so that should have a marble/stone too.

So I'm settling on the plains hill in between, and the next Settler will go plant on marble west. Current ETA for that is ~T45. It's a greedy city, but that's why I picked IMP Zulu.

Edit: Charriu just founded. He's the first to city #2. That's not bad at all, I wonder how much dtay is helping.
