Oh my god.
The mongolian blitzkrieg, coupled with a GG and Kabul scares even myself.
Check it out.
First of all, I present to you a mongolian warcart!
Then Initial Deployment:
Blitz forward:
Capture:
Losses so far:
TheArchduke: 0 losses and 1 warcart gained.
Rowain: 3 archers, 2 warcarts, 2 cities.
And do notice that thanks to Kabul, the brand new war cart is promotable.
I am not sure what I can add further, this scares even myself.

Jeebus. A horseman at 50 vs. a city at 20 expects to do 100 damage in a single shot.
I have no idea how one would go about stopping this. There's actually a thread over at CFC titled "Can't Beat Human Mongolia". Someone over there keeps playing duels against a friend and gets his ass kicked. I think the only way to stop this is to be on a map with land masses separated by water. In theory you don't even need knights at this point. Take Sumeria, continue east, maybe take Antananarivo, stop to heal up and maybe upgrade the chariots, then keep going. I'd say you don't need the battering ram with that kind of strength difference, but once you put one in formation with a Keshig I think that'll be the start of the end of the game.

I do not feel too much mercy.
Only Kish was semi-defensible at the onset, Rowain had all his units scattered about, built the Oracle and chased a belated GP.
Either not DoF when I attack Georgia, forward settle and dig in or race for the first GP hardcore for Defender of the Faith.

For instance, even with my superbuffs, check out this spearman in a good location. Now imagine Rowain would have straight up dowed me thereby denying me the +6 from a trade posts. Ouch.
Korea´s science is silly.
Rowains capital will fall next turn. Kish will probably need to be strangled to death by sacrificing some units. We will see.

Yeah, those Seowons can be ridiculous. As for the spearman, yeah, that's tough but you can just go around it.

This is amazing. If the spearman tries to attack a GG-powered horseman defending on flat ground, it'll be at -11 strength, 39 to 50, so you can just go around it. The city center is shooting at what, 25 strength? You can ride right up with the ram and flatten the walls easily. Sumeria is finished.
You were saying you think you'll push to Alhambram next. I was thinking you should try to get a trade route to him, but I'm now thinking it's not going to be possible. He'll probably suspect it, and DoW you once you take Antananarivo and get visibility on his cities. (I think part of why CMF has already DoWed you is to prevent you from sending any trade routes to him, and also to signal that he'll never make peace with you for the rest of the game.) I don't know how much scouting Alhambram is doing, but if he's smart, you won't be able to surprise him like you did Emperor K and Rowain.
I don't know how effective it will be to attack Alhambram's walled cities (and maybe an encampment or two) without rams. Are you sending your scout there now? By the time your army can get there in at minimum 20ish turns, around T103, will he have crossbows? Also, I suspect (though scouting will reveal this) that CMF will send units to protect Alhambram's front.
I thought about attacking and capturing Antananarivo, then upgrading the chariots there, but with Professional Army you would still need 90 gold per chariot, 95 per war cart (all 9 would be 815 gold). Your culture seems to be doing well; how far are you from PA? And can you get the gold you'd need to upgrade your chariots? If so, I think the attack on Alhambram would be almost guaranteed. A GG-powered Knight would be at 56 strength even with no spy bonuses. Just need a Keshig or two to get the ram to the front.

The Kesqig special ability!
Damn, thanks Shimomo, I nearly forgot that one.
Yeah, your reasoning is valid. Also Alhambram will see it coming and is quite a good defender, I may be better of switching gears once again and going north against Japper.

Funny, I would have joined that Emergency, but seems only Rowain joins, noone else. Fine by me. Although I am impressed Rise and Fall that Emergency is probably spot on.
We conquer the capital of Sumeria and our ram is in striking distance of Kish next turn.
Before
After:
I switch around policies to get 2 more settlers out and prepare a lot of builders who will be ready over the next turns, all in time for Feudalism.

So emergencies are active in multiplayer. Of course, with only Rowain joining and you about to fully conquer him the only thing he's done is given you an 800 conquering bonus.

800 free gold in 30 turns. Although the CS is -3 in favour for Rowain now thanks to the emergency.
Inching on Kish. I think it will hold 2 more turns.
Rowain is actually launching an expedition on Port Prodigal, 1 horseman diverted to it. As soon as he is done for, I will prepare a battleplan for Japper or Alhambram.
I think I will go with the PBEM # 6 strategy. A massive attack whilst ignoring military stuff for 20 turns and going builder mode.
