logged in, forgot to take screenshots of the post-rusten turn. he's moved his galley into threatening waters again, he has 2 horse archers nearby, and he moved his chariot+spear and joined it with another chariot.

Turn 94-
[img] [/img]
Basically sums up this turn.
Made myself think in rusten's shoes what i would do, and decided that i needed to defend my coastal cities just a tad more. Im sure my neighbors have noticed the increase in my power rating, sadly its all in defensive units. While im confident that i wont lose a city unless someone else joins the war, i dont think i can take a city from rusten either.. so i dont know what his plan is except to annoy me.

Turn 95- The longest turn in the history of turns.
Rusten loaded up a galley with 2 horse archers, i have at least 1 spear in each of my coastal cities.. and a spear that can jump into either city next turn if needed. i havent determined that any of my neighbors are prepping an attack, but it wouldnt take much to blow down a city and then it would all start to crumble.. IMO, unless rusten whips each of his cities 2-3 turns in a row for Horse archers, he isnt budging on me... and is really making himself a bigger target/ more likely to not stay in the winners circle. ( i believe firmly, that the winners circle will be either A: Mackoti. B: TBS. C: Dtay. or D: Rusten. ) and the shit part is im surrounded by winners... now, i can prevent one of them from taking the top spot, by not getting rolled over.. but whichever one of them manages to eat either, Me, BGN, Dreylin, or another unknown to the west, ( aretas had too few cities for it to matter ) will be the winner.
I will not fall without having a major tech disadvantage ( knights vs spears ) ect. or a dogpile... so rusten's choice has been kinda... bad. Still waiting on Mackoti to split his land with me.. that would be the only way i could survive to the end game, is mack eats rusten, i keep a good chunk of army on the mack border, and tbs/dtay/commodore fight each other to a standstill while either mack, or someone farther west ( or east? ) wins.

Looks like Rusten planted a city in the spot i was going to try and plant on. His galley of 2 horse archers has moved into the fog where his island is.. likely more than one galley there so ill have to keep a garrison in both my coastal cities.. but i am tempted to throw like 10 chariots at that new city.. just for the fuck of it tbh

Turn 96- Well.. Things have gotten interesting... hopefully.
Mackoti has declared war on Rusten.
Plan is now, firmly, Currency-HBR-flood rusten. i also have 2 galleys being made to ferry units over to the island that likely should have been mine in the first place.. Currency is due in 2 turns, along with my golden age running out... but i should be able to flex some power back at him if mackoti does ANYTHING worth a shit.
1. keep border cities stocked with anti-horse units and other goodies. to prevent instadeath from dtay/tbs.
2. tech currency, finish HBR with some wealth builds/ect.
3. ???
4. still lose, but feel great doing it.
Hoping its not a fake war-

Forgot to screenshot demos- but im 6th in power, and according to the graphs.. not far from Rusten/mack..

So long as Rusten has someone nipping at him from another direction... you will have your bloodshed . For how much ive been crammed in from my neighbors all expanding towards me, when i finally move to settle to the west its jumped on? yeah, im not usually spiteful but so long as Rusten doesnt run me over and/or wins, ill count this game as a victory

Turn 98- Rusten has pulled the trigger.
and...... its only a stack of 4 horse archers, 2 axes, and a spear.. while he does have a random horse archer laying around, and could unload 2 more from a galley.. im not worried.
My real worry atm, is that i have to run a city on Wealth to stay above 2 gold a turn at 0% science... thats.... not good. ( i sit at 6 gold a turn with my current city im using.. ) I pulled chariots from across the empire to a more central location so they can reinforce, i used a galley i made a turn or two ago, to ferry another unit over to the threatened city. Honestly.. i was expecting 10-20 horse archers to be flooding my cities, was Rusten not prepared for war?? if i can kill that stack, i plan on moving some units onto that island.. and it WILL be mine one way or another.

turn 99- Shifting units around, i still have way more units for defense in one city, than Rusten is even bringing to attack so far..
Not really a whole lot to say about this turn other than... What is Rustens plan of attack? he has enough horse archers to "try" and run past and hit something.. but that wont work because i have 3-5 spears ready to intercept.. I guess its a wait and see.
