In LA, the players have their agents play their civ turns for them while in traffic on the 405.

I'm staying far enough north that I don't have to deal with I-405 much, thankfully.    dancing

I should be able to play turn 70 from home once I get back this evening.

Okay, I'm out of the strange scheduling caused by my Memorial Day trip.

I'll be taking another vacation, this time to Yellowstone and the area around it*, from June 8 to June 17.

Again, I expect to have one play window every evening, but I do not expect hotel wi-fi to necessarily cooperate.  I don't think I'll need a lurker to play, but I can arrange for "whoops I have no internet" protection, probably.

At least every evening I will always be staying in an actual hotel, and have a real keyboard and mouse, unlike some of my trips during PB37. crazyeye

* "the area around it" also includes Glacier National Park, which I'm aware is like saying San Francisco is close to Los Angeles, or Melbourne is close to Sydney. lol

I'm still looking for an emergency sub during my vacation, which begins this friday. I intend to do my turns during the vacation, but if I have no internet in any way I can't do anything. I think Dark Savant is also still looking for a sub, am I right?

Kind of, but the worst thing that should happen in my case is that I'll be unable to play but can still post that I'll need a pause.

You can do the same thing if you unexpectedly don't have access for a day.  It happens; it's not as a big deal in an 8-player game than in a 25-player game.

If you know you won't even have cell phone access for a while, yeah, you want to get a lurker to play your turns.
