No pictures from Pins empire when I played those two turns, but what I can do is describe it: brittle. If anyone were to push him he would just fall into OT4E's path of whip everything, but he will get Machinery in a few turns so whipped chucklenauts would break everything up to knights.

Commodore seems to be the only one that's concluded Astro is super important here. He and TBS are about the only ones really prioritizing it as far as I can tell, and TBS's Astro timing is a little unclear to me. Mackoti seems to be going with Knights instead, although with his neighbors I think that's probably correct.
I don't think Commodore will win or anything given TBS and Mackoti's strong positions, but I think he's generally underrating his position in this game because this Astro play may vault him up a tier in the standings if it goes as planned. I don't think anyone else is particularly close to it.

Krill - can you wrap the map in point #1 in a spoiler tag just in case? A misclick by a player would show a lot of important info before they have time to hit the back button.

TBS is going to beat Comm to Astro by about a half-dozen turns if his timeline holds up. It looks to me like he is doing a little refactoring but I doubt the date will change much, it’s more about how much prebuilding of Astro boats/settlers he’ll be able to do versus how much wealth he’s building. TBS is also in contention for more Astro islands than Comm is, and will be in Bureaucracy where Comm won’t. Comm is making the right play mind you and I agree that he’ll benefit in rankings by it.

I wonder if TBS will leave Commodore to settle the southern central subcontinent and not contest him for it, instead focusing on settling the northeastern subcontinent and then pivotting into absorbing Dreylin from the north via galleons and the south via stack of knights.

This game just keeps on giving. The Gav, Commodore, Plako and soon to be Pindicator situation is lurker schadenfreude gold.

My new tradition is whenever I open this forum, I always read this thread first, and then try to guess in my head what happened to spur the comments in the other threads. I was wrong this time.
This game has utterly jumped the shark, and I'm 100% fine with it.
Kudos to superdeath for handling this really well. I think he got mistakenly tagged as an easy target for being a new player, but he's definitely not.

I think that there are two strategies players are using with their army composition. Swords and Trend, or construction and HBR. I don't know who has made either strategy work best. You could argue Mackoti but that was a rush, and since then it's just been brawls.
Fun to watch though.

These dogpiles are either hard to come by or some players are really dropping the diplomacy ball.
Plako doesn't appear to have given potential allies enough time to mobilize and then went ahead and made peace.
Team Old Harry really pulled a Homer last turn. They were about to make peace but got a city instead. OT4E looks to have lost at least 11 Horchers last turn. It's not clear that even if OT4E emptied every city he has, that he could get the better of Old Harry's 16-unit stack even if it's on flatland. OT4E isn't likely to empty out his capital with Elkad 2 tiles away to take a stab at that stack.
