Difficult - I'm away on Saturday, and need to focus on PB40 preparations prior to that. I have time to download the save and have a look this evening, in case Brian still can't get to it tomorrow, but it would probably be Sunday before I could finish playing.

No no no. You don't need to worry about PB40.

Anyway, I note that Gilgamesh has rifles and can research Assembly Line. There is still work to be done here - I can see why Brian doesn't want to rush it. I'll check things out and try to clear the decks so I can pick it up tomorrow if necessary. But do note that I probably can't play at all on Sat, so may be better for Brian to play.
@Brian - if I've not heard otherwise, I'll post a "got-it" and start around 19:00 tomorrow. Wife permitting. But please do carry on if you're able to.

This is interesting because when I reviewed the save I thought he didn’t have replaceable parts yet.

I ... didn't know that you could get to Assembly Line without Rifling; actually, I suspect that real-world knowledge is kicking in here that screams "you can't have Assembly Line without Replaceable Parts".
However, in this case Gilgamesh does have rifling. He has a rifle in Larsa.
EDIT: are we happy to push for domination? I don't know how many cities (if any) I'll be capturing this turnset, but I favour keeping them and going for the win. Shuffling this many unit around this terrain is going to be limited fun.

I must have missed that. I also may have been considering my turnset rather than RFS-81s.
If this is the case, early assembly line is really important.

T333. Probably going to pause there, and think about when to actually kick off the ultra-violence. I can't remember ever playing a game with this many units, certainly not so distributed.

Thanks for taking the save Shallow Thought, got really hammered at work this week, one of my colleagues died two weeks ago Sunday, another is off on two weeks holidays (which she badly needs) and my third colleague is new to the office, so even though she's taken on extra work and is working up to speed rapidly, I just had a ridiculous amount of work in front of me every day. Add to that a boss with a fear of paperwork and it all just came together.

My condolences on your coworker passing away; that is a major bummer, Brian, and I’m very sorry for your loss.

Good luck with the work situation, Brian. Very sorry to hear about your co-worker.
A boss with a fear of paperwork? I am assuming this does not include a fear of giving other people paperwork.
