Sorry, got my turn in a bit late past Pin's window. I would like to get back to 1 turn per day so it becomes part of my routine. There is a good chance, especially on Tuesdays, that I may put in a late turn now and again from school. That being said I did have time around 6:00 PM PT and entirely forgot about the e-mail, then only had time again now.

It sad after all the time and effort that’s been out in, but the turn pace is discouraging to me as well. In the last 60 days we’ve played about 18 turns. I don’t so much mind the week long breaks, but it’s discouraging when the turns don’t come in regularly when we’re back rolling again.
Was visiting family and friends I haven't seen in years.
There's a button I can happily press if people have issues with my playing speed

17 hours at one player and before that even more.
I really do not wanna nag. But PBEM #12 has solidly overtaken this one. I would rather play a PBEM with a crisp turn pace.
I'm going to surrender to AI in 12 hours (when I get home). That will speed things up.

Surrender to AI? Will that not throw the game out of balance? If you want out we should look for a sub first. I don't know if surrendering to AI can be un-done in PYDT.
While it's a bit frustrating to get a turn every other day, I can't imagine the game would remain remotely balanced with one player replaced by an AI. And I suspect that would kill the game far more effectively than a slow turn pace.
So I'd prefer you keep playing, but obviously it's up to you.
I don't think it will have much effect on balance. A few turns maybe
